DUNGEON OF TORGAR - HINTS Pegasus Software by The Guild (Simon M. Langan) Spectrum 48 This is a good game with a reasonable number of locations, and not much backtracking necessary. A few steps need to be done in sequence, but otherwise order is not important. You soon find out what your objective is – to collect treasures. There's a twist at the end – you think you are stuck, and don't yet have all the objects, but you really aren't. Use the flute before you give it to the leprechaun. There are several random elements in the game. If you don't run into the leprechaun again to give him the flute and get some hints, don't worry, as his hints are useless. He is very light-fingered, so if you have a key in your possession, move quickly or he will take it. SEARCH the wet room. EXAMINING objects provides clues. The lamp does not go out (other than when the leprechaun extinguishes it), so don't panic. Remember what the eye of the Medusa did? THROW IT AT granite objects. Objects needed more than once: the demon's eye, the eye of Medusa, the flute, the carpet. Objects to ignore: the black ring, the sword, the skeleton. Don't drop the vase, so save it till the end. The parser recognizes (and sometimes needs) more than two words. GIVE TO , for example. List of verbs: BREAK, CATCH, CLIMB, DIG, DROP, EXAMINE, GET/TAKE, LOOK, OPEN, PLAY, POINT, PRESS, PUSH, READ, REDESCRIBE, RELEASE, SEARCH, SWAP, THROW, UNLOCK, USE, WEAR, EXAMINE the wall in the wet room. ***************************************************** Displayed on the Classic Adventures Solution Archive: http://solutionarchive.com
