USE YOUR LOAF R. C. D. Enterprises The Guild/Pegasus Software Spectrum 48 While the game has an interesting premise, there are several things that make it unsatisfactory and difficult to play. There are at least two occasions where, once you drop an object, you cannot pick it up again despite hardly carrying anything (not counting the dropping of the glass bottle which breaks). Certain movements must be done in sequence with no extraneous movement allowed. There is a butcher, but you only see his assistant, so talk to him as if he is there. You may think that giving the king the bread is enough, but that is not all that is needed. You cannot go back and retrieve what you need then, so you must have both objects with you when you visit the king. Thus you must restore a previous game. You cannot examine any object at the windmill, as all it gives you is a description of the windmill. Hints: All objects are needed once, with the exception of the matches. Exits are not marked so you need to try all possible six directions (N, S, E, W, UP, DOWN) at every location, which makes the game somewhat tedious. There is one unusual verb-noun combination – LIFT BATH which, surprisingly means you take a bath. You need to find fuel for the stove. An axe and a saw are both needed. Baking the bread is not as easy to do as it looks because of the previously mentioned bugs. You do not need to be holding the dough to put it in the tin. One needs gloves before mixing and kneading the dough. The tin also needs to be greased. Don't drop the bottle before you have used it. Before you fly with the hanglider, make sure you have the helmet, and the means of getting back up (two objects, well, actually three). What a shame. It would have been an interesting game if these bugs and glitches had been fixed. ***************************************************** Displayed on the Classic Adventures Solution Archive: http://solutionarchive.com
