From Mike Gerrard, co-author of The Odyssey: October 18th, 2004 "Pete had already written some adventure games and books for Duckworth, and I had written some books and was writing about adventure games for magazines. The boss of Duckworth, Colin Haycraft, had seen the success of The Hobbit as an adventure game, and perhaps by this time Lord of the Rings had been published too. He thought The Odyssey would make a good story for an adventure game. We read the book and agreed. I designed the game and Pete did the coding, but also contributed to the design and the tasts set in the game. But it's really hard to remember who did exactly what, after all this time, or even how long it took to do. I'm sorry not to be able to add to this."
