Walkthrough (such as it is) for Pluto Adventure by David Knight Published in ZX Computing in February 1986 Written by Richard Bos First, a few notes. To start with, this is a BASIC text adventure for the ZX Spectrum, which was published in ZX Computing February/March issue of 1986. There's not much to it; as can be seen below, it can be solved in two ways, both requiring just a single object. The rest is more or less useless. There is a lot of terrain to explore, some of it atmospherically described, but unfortunately it's all tinsel, and mostly empty anyway. There are a few characters in the game, who wander randomly, but apart from either attacking you or giving you a hint they're cardboard cutouts. The vocabulary is extremely sparse. Ask the game for "vocab" if you want to know what's in it. All words can be abbreviated to one or two letters, as necessary. On restarting, the game will require you to reload all its data files. There are, as mentioned, two solutions. Each is hinted by a different friendly character. In either of these, if you are attacked, ignore it; just walk on. The longest solution first; longest, that is, in walking time, not in actual action: North thrice, east, south nine times, east thrice, take key, west thrice, north nine times, west, north five times, east thrice. And the shorter solution: North, west thrice, south twice, take ring, north twice, east thrice, north twice, east, north twice, drop ring. Tada!
