Candy Rush Saga release 1 (31 October 2014) By Andrew Schultz For Z-code interpreters Solution by Garry Francis ---------------------------------------- This is a sliding block puzzle masquerading as an adventure. You start in the centre of a 3x3 grid. Go NORTH to 12 o'clock in the grid, then travel clockwise around the grid until you return to 12 o'clock. You have now visited every cell in the grid and seen all the non-playing characters (NPCs) that you have to control. Now type MAP (or M). This is what you'll see: BBB B#C CCC The Bs are the bad kids. Each bad kid is randomly located in one of these rooms at the start of the game. The Cs are the candy kids. Each candy kid is randomly located in one of these rooms at the start of the game. The aim is to transpose the Bs with the Cs without any of them ever occupying the same room at the same time. You control them using the following commands: : Move yourself in the given direction without moving any NPCs. B : Move yourself and the NPC in your room (if any) in the given direction. BT : Don't move youself, but move the NPC in your room (if any) in the given direction. BF : Move yourself in the given direction. When you get to the next room, move the NPC in that room (if any) in the opposite direction. In other words, transpose yourself with the NPC. Once you understand the concept, solve the game in the minimum number of moves. You should be able to do it in 20 moves using only BF commands. This is a minimal solution confirmed using a sliding block puzzle solver. 1. BF W 2. BF S 3. BF E 4. BF N 5. BF N 6. BF W 7. BF S 8. BF S 9. BF E 10. BF N 11. BF N 12. BF E 13. BF S 14. BF S 15.
