Deliverer by Brian Parks Hints. This is a good, interesting game, challenging in places, despite some random elements in it. You are a courier for Diplomatic Spade Dispatch. Your job is to deliver an envelope to the commander of Droid Station 14. As you prepare to dock with the station, you are hit by a meteor storm. Your first objective is to land your attacked spaceship in one piece. First find out where you are, or rather where your shuttle is in relation to the station. Try SWITCHing ON the SCANNER. Play around with the levers to see in what direction you move. PRESSing X moves you to the left and increases the first digit, PULLing it moves you to the right and decreases the first digit. PRESSing Y moves you forward and increases the second digit, PULLing it moves you backward and decreases the second digit. PRESSing Z moves you up and increases the third digit, PULLing it moves you down and decreases the third digit. Numbers wrap between 9 and 0. As you have a limited amount of time, make sure you are using the shortest route. Where do you need to get to? Coordinates 000. While you can safely drop objects in some places, it’s best to drop all but one in a safe location. I used the west end of gallery 0 location. It’s as good a place as any, since the number of objects you can carry is limited, especially at the beginning. When you drop an object in the corridors you are given the coordinates to the Lost Property Office and can retrieve them there. Though you should visit the Lost Property Office regardless. Keep EXAMining the junk until you find all there is. While all these objects are not necessary, should the Hovvabug break down, you will need to make repairs. Once you reach the west end of gallery 0, explore the stairs. There are also 8 levels, from 0 to 7. Then explore each level. Two steps to the east, you will see a black door, Going further east, you see other coloured doors, (interspersed with a grill) with numbers on them. There are 8 doors, coloured black, blue, red, magenta, green, cyan, yellow, and white. You first need to find the east end of gallery 0. But you do not know how long the corridors are. Visualize a large grid. If you begin at 000, what would possibly be the maximum number? So try that and see if it leads you anywhere. Take the ticket with you. Remember, the doors begin two rooms east of the east end of gallery 0, so the west end of gallery 0 should mirror this on the diagonal, i.e. two rooms east of room 777. Then go down the stairs until you find the west end of gallery 0. You need to fix the Hovvabug by INSERTing an object. During the game, you will receive various coordinates and a code. These open various doors. You need to use the Hovvabug to get to those places. To use the Hovvabug, stand in front of any door or grill in the galleries, go UP into the Hovvabug, PRESS or PUSH the coordinates you want, one at a time, then go DOWN. Then PRESS or PUSH the code, one number at a time. The platforms in the library operate on the same principle as the Hovvabug. Once in the library, go north and east to determine the number of that cubicle, then return, go east or west to find a platform, and from there find your cubicle. Instead of the verbs PRESS or PUSH, use SAY (with the same directions that you used with the Hovvabug), SAY UP (the first digit of the cubicle number), then go E, N (to the junction), then west or east to determine where you are, and in which direction you need to go to get to your cubicle. To leave the library first find a platform then SAY EXIT. The cheese helps out in more than one situation. The maze solution is straightforward. Where you see an opening, drop the heaviest object first, go up, then drop the next heaviest, go up, and then drop the lightest. The bracelet will help you avoid the maze for a second and subsequent times. Think of Aladdin and his lamp. Red herrings: hammer, pistol, and some of the spare parts. Though if you take too long the robot may break down and need to be fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- By Terri Sheehan and Alastair for the Classic Adventure Solution Archive (CASA) http://solutionarchive.com/
