It is necessary to map the game and have a look around then restart the game and proceed in the minimum number of moves, in order to put the fire out on the bridge. 2. Don't try to deal with the pods until after you have put the fire out on the bridge. Walk Through (The dream begins... you are in your car when you see shooting stars, then the engine stops), FEEL DASHBOARD (you find some keys in the ignition), GET KEYS, FEEL DASHBOARD again, PULL HANDLE (this opens the bonnet), W (you leave the car and slide down an embankment), SEARCH GRASS (you uncover the entrance to a sewer pipe covered by a grille - ignore the grille), SEARCH GRASS again (this time you reveal an old bucket), GET BUCKET, EXAMINE BUCKET, N (under the bridge), THROW BUCKET (it lands on the road above - note this is the only place where this works and if you jump while carrying the bucket you will drop it), S, S, S, JUMP (you grab hold of a willow tree branch and climb out), N, N, N, GET BUCKET (leave the pod until later). E, S (to gate), E (to door), E (to stairs), S (it's dark), FEEL AROUND (you find a metal pipe), GET PIPE, N, W, W, S, S, S, EXAMINE HEDGE (you see a sign), HIT SIGN (using the metal pipe - the sign splinters revealing a gap), E (through the gap), N, E, SEARCH NETTLES (reveals a stand-pipe), FILL BUCKET (as it is dripping it obviously has a hole so don't divert from the next few moves if you are to arrive at the bridge with some water left), W, S, W, N, N, N, W, W (to gate), W, W (to bridge which is on fire), DOUSE FLAMES (using the bucket of water), DROP BUCKET. E, E, E (to door), N, E, E, EXAMINE CRATES, SEARCH CRATES (you find one in reasonable condition and pick it up), W, W, S (back to door), W, S, S, W (to rear of car), EXAMINE CAR, OPEN BOOT (using the key), EXAMINE BOOT, EXAMINE CARPET, LIFT CARPET (you see a spare tyre), SEARCH BOOT (you find a match and a roll of black tape), EXAMINE TAPE (insulating), TAPE PIPE, TAPE HANDLE (the pipe is now insulated), N, W, W, N to oak tree, EXAMINE TREE, CLIMB TREE (you drop what you were carrying), LOOK UP (you see a green pod), SHAKE TREE (you dislodge the pod which falls to the ground), D, GET PIPE, GET CRATE, HIT POD (using the pipe - repeat until it is split open). S, S, W (into cobbled yard), W (into barn), LOOK UP (you see a hayloft), N (you hear bats), LOOK UP (you see the remains of a ladder), DROP CRATE, STAND ON CRATE, THROW PIPE (into hayloft), JUMP (into hayloft), GET PIPE, E, EXAMINE STRAW (something has recently disturbed the surface), SEARCH STRAW (you find a pod), HIT POD (using the pipe - repeat until it is split open), EXAMINE POD, W, D, S, E (to cobbled yard). S, S, EXAMINE TREES, LOOK (if necessary until you see the message that leaves crunch as you walk), EXAMINE LEAVES, SEARCH LEAVES (you find a pod), HIT POD (using the pipe - repeat until it is split open), E, N, N, N, E (to bridge), E, S, S, E, E, N (to path), HIT POD (using the pipe - repeat until it is split open - you have now destroyed all five pods and must now destroy the alien). S, W, W, S, W (through gap), N, N, N, E (to door), E, DROP PIPE, U (to very small room), GET BOTTLE, D, W, W, W (to car), OPEN BONNET (note you must have released the safety catch first), FILL BOTTLE (with petrol), S, S, E, E, E (to by duck-pond), EXAMINE POND, POUR PETROL (over the surface of the pool), WAIT (bubbles rise to the surface), LIGHT MATCH (the petrol ignites and the alien is burnt to death as it rises). You return to your car and turn on the ignition... the radio gives the news of strange pods falling everywhere. Your adventure is completed, but the battle has only just begun.
