DR. Who Adventure
Walkthrough by Alex Dijkstra for the TRS80

Notes:

-Because this game has a lot of random features it is inpossible to give an exact walkthrough.
However the hints below together with the map should make it possible to solve the game.

-Every planet has it's own inhabitent(s) which are normally hostile. How longer you are with
them the bigger is the chance they will harm you.  There are several ways to get rid of them. A few
special moves are listed below, but in general you have the following three options:

 *Hide: When you trie to hide you have a chance of 95% to succeed if not you are   
  killed. When you hide you run to a specific location on that planet indicated  below. 
  But beware because some of them are dangerous.

 *Fire gun. After you've collected the gun the easiest way of getting rid of the  
  inhabitants is by killing them with the gun by typing FIRE GUN.

 *give the inhabitent an object. There are three possible general reactions:
  a-The inhabitent refuses the gift. Nothing happens.
  b-The inhabitant accepts the gift and wanders off taking the object to a random    
  place on the same planet.
  c-The inhabitent eats the object. The inhabitant stays but he is pleased and you    
  have some extra time before he kills you. The object however is lost. 

-Every object has it's own weight. In total you can carry a weight of 20.



Walkthrough:

*Planet Galafry

You start on the planet Galafry. There is nothing to do here untill you have collected all 6 needed
objects.

When walking around on this planet avoid location 62 (the one with the sign), because you have a 70%
chance of being killed by a low flying tardis.

ENTER (to get inside the tardis).



*Flying to other planets with the tardis.

There are seven planets you can visit. To fly between them you have to go to the location with the
tardis (location 1,11,21,31,41,51 or 61). With the command IN or ENTER you enter the tardis. By
typing the command RESET you fly bewteen the planets. Unfortunately this flying is random. You can
fly between 20 or 40 times before the tardis runs out of power (the amount is random). If you want
to avoid this you could add the following line to the programm:

765 TL=250

because due to the random destination it is very hard to solve the game within the given amount of
turns. When you arrive at a desired destination you can type EXIT or OUT to leave the tardis.


*Planet Skaro

Random monsters: Group of Daleks
Give the playdalek to get rid of them.

If you hide on this planet you go to location 26 with the broken machinery.

EXIT, N, GET BABIES, E, SEARCH (repeat until you find the secret passage), E, SEARCH (repeat until
you find the object. the chance of finding an object in this game unfortunately is random.), GET
GUN, W, S, S, ENTER.

*Planet Peladon

Random monsters: Group of Peladons

If you hide on this planet you go to location 6 Lost in a maze

EXIT, D, W, w, SEARCH (repeat this until you find the object), GET PICK, D (repeat this command
until you have left this room. you have only a random chance of 10% to leave this room when you type
a direction), TALK (the group of peladons have to be here. you hear about a secret doorway and can
go east), E, SEARCH (repeat until you find the object), GET CUMQUAT, D, ENTER.


*Planet Hiaous.

You need to have the jelly babies in your possesion.

Random monsters: single loathesome horrible creature
Give the jelly babies to get rid of the creature.

If you hide on this planet you go to location 44 the top of the tree.

EXIT, N, E, N, U, GET BANANAS, D, S, W, N, ENTER.


*Planet Diethylamide

Random monster: Troglodyte

If you hide on this planet you go to location 51 Midst of thick fog.

On this planet you can find the renticulator. If you take this and you type READ RENTICULATOR you
get an indication (it's partly random) of how much of the objects needed you've got.

EXIT, E, N, GET BLUE, S, S, E, SEARCH (repeat until you find the object), GET WHITE, W, W, N,
ENTER.


*Planet Mutos

Random monsters: trio of ugly mutants

If you hide on this planet you go to location 16 the intersection

EXIT, W, GET SCREWDRIVER, S, OPEN GRATE (with screwdriver), DROP SCREWDRIVER, D, E, GIVE BLUE SPIDER
(the spider dies and floats away to 14 the small cave), W, U, E, DIG (you open a passage to the
east),DROP PICK, E, GET SPIDER, W, N, ENTER.


*Dark side of the moon

Random monster: Cyberman

If you hide on this planet you go to location 36 beneath the cybership.

Location 36 should be avoided because you have a 70% the cybership blasts off and you become
incinerated.

EXIT, D, D, SEARCH (repeat until you find the object), GET ROCK, U, U, ENTER.

*Planet Galafry

Random person: Timelord
Don't kill him.

You can't hide on this planet, because there are no monsters.

EXIT, E, W, TALK (the timelord has to be here. you need the spider, ray-gun, rock, bananas, white
crystal and the cumquat to end the game).

You have found all six parts!! We are saved!! Congratulations!!!!
