Solution to Shrimpenstein's Scary House Amulet This game describes itself as tacky, and it's not wrong. Still, if you like tacky, at least it _is_ a game, even if a parody of one, and not just a joke. There are two mazes, the forest and the harpy's lair. AFAICT these are mappable, but the objects found in it aren't always in the same place. Your best bet - they're smallish mazes - is to just wander about until you find what you're looking for. Open gate, north, northeast, west, southwest, northwest, examine bones. (Don't touch the ring yet.) Southeast, northeast, north, in, light lamp, up. say hello, down, down, take bottle, up, south, south, east, southeast. Wander around the forest until you find a sword. Take it. Wander some more until you find a tiny exit north. Take this exit, take Pepsi, pour it in bottle, west. Wander around outside until you're taken by the harpy. Wander around its lair until you find the egg. If the hatchling is also there, go in any direction and back immediately until you lose it. Take egg. Wander some more until you find a column. Break column. Wait until you see a vine. Grab vine. North, northeast, north, in, down. Attack spider until either it is beaten or you almost are. In the latter case, go up and back down, and start again. Once the spider is dead, get the bible, Up, up, give bible. Down, north, throw egg at skeleton, take phial. South, south, south, southwest, northwest. Pour phial on slime, get ring, southeast, northeast, north, in, up, give ring. Down, south, south, give sword, east, southwest, open gate, south. Yup, that's it. -- Richard Bos, August 2014
