HINTS

This is one of Laurence's most challenging games. While there are few
locations, there is much retracing of steps needed. Many items are needed
more than once, some which you would never think of keeping. While there
are hints given (READ KERCHIEF), they require much thought to decipher
(not the letter-substitution cipher, but the content). You can only DROP
ALL in certain places in order not to break your lamp. Otherwise, say PUT
LAMP to not shatter it.

Remember to WEAR BOOTS, and WEAR BANDAGE each time you drop objects.

LOOK AROUND, LOOK IN, LOOK BEHIND, LOOK UP, and LOOK UNDER are all needed
in various parts of the game. Also use SEARCH with these prepositions.

You need to wash the filthy bandage.

BREAK BRANCH while examining the nest.

There is a very tricky part at the pit. When you eat the leafy vegetable
that you found, you can temporarily carry a few more objects. Do not waste
any moves here, as there is a very limited amount of time before the slab
falls, and you cannot go back and retrieve objects that are needed.

The bar/panel/boulder puzzle is very interesting and ingenious. Explore
and try things and the solution should be obvious.

To drop things and not break them, Put <object>.

In order to climb the drapes, you need to drop some objects.

Here are some additional hints:

Bird – use the safety pin.

Stone – have the mug and LIFT STONE. Once in the pit, you do not need the
mug to carry the stone.

Branch – use the sun and the glass to light it.

Beams – the honeycomb is necessary here.

Boulder – you will need to have followed the man whose foot you bandaged
to get a word to say. Once the boulder begins to follow you, GRAB BAR, and
say the word.

Paddle – keep talking to the boys.

Wheel – I don't understand this hint. It's pretty straightforward what to
do, once you've examined the hole.

Panel – remember what the mummy did.

Before you go down into the pit, make sure you have all the objects
(except the flint) here. Should you need to go back to a previous "save"
to retrieve some items, this will make it easier.
