This is a moderately difficult game. There is one extensive red 
herring, which sends you off on wild goose chase. There is a lot of 
retracing of steps and a lot of trial and error to determine what 
object is needed where. There are several ways to die. There is one 
major glitch I have found - there is no way of finding out the 
combination to the safe. Also, there is a limit on how many times 
you can enter locations with the pass; hence the order of your 
actions is important. Some events are by chance, so if you are not 
successful the first time, keep trying. However, the descriptions 
of the Isle of Wight are very good - you begin to feel you have 
actually been on, what sounds like, a charming island.

You begin at Sandown. INVENTORY (you are carrying small change), N, 
N, N, ENTER NEWSAGENT, BUY GUIDE, GET NEWSPAPER, READ NEWSPAPER 
(you find out the aim of the game), DROP NEWSPAPER, OPEN GUIDEBOOK 
(you find a pass), DROP GUIDEBOOK, S, S, W, W, SW, SHOW PASS, ENTER 
CARISBROOKE, E, PULL DONKEY (as many times as needed until you see 
the lamp), GET LAMP (ignore the rest of the place), W, W, SW, S, W, 
W, W, GET ORNAMENT, EXAMINE ORNAMENT, USE LIFT, FILL ORNAMENT, USE 
LIFT, E, E, E, SE, E, N, N, N, SHOW PASS, ENTER WAX, E, E, S, PRESS 
BUTTON (until you get the message "go to a place where my children 
grew up learning how to live"), S, W, DOWN, ENTER DUNGEON, TURN 
WHEEL, ENTER TORTURE (you see a yellow circular plastic), TAKE 
CIRCLE, NE, E, S, S, W, N, PULL LEVER, GET PENDANT (ignore the 
other objects), N, W, W, W.

You are at Robin Hill Country Park. SHOW PASS, ENTER ROBIN, (ignore 
the peanuts), E, E (ignore the monkeys), S, W (a man asks to see 
your lamp, breaks it and gives you a gold coin), N, W, W, SW, SW, 
S, SE, S, SHOW PASS, ENTER CHINE, SE, NE, DROP GOLD, E, DROP 
PENDANT (you are given something and can now leave the castle), 
INVENTORY (you have a white rectangle), LEAVE CASTLE (you are at a 
maze), E, E, S, E, GET PHIAL, W, W, W, W, N, W (you see a blue 
square), GET SQUARE, DRINK LIQUID, ENTER HOLE (you find yourself 
back in the Chine museum), SE, NE, DROP ORNAMENT, E, LEAVE CASTLE 
(at the maze again), W, SW, ENTER SHUTTLE, GET FLASHLIGHT, N, W, 
ENTER CAVE, ON FLASHLIGHT, SW, E, NE (you are at the Hall of 
Mirrors).

OFF FLASHLIGHT, FLAT, SW, SW, CAREFULLY EXAMNE (you see a green 
triangle), GET TRIANGLE, N, N, N (back at the museum), SE, NE, E, 
LEAVE CASTLE (at the maze), W, SW, W, ENTER CAVE, ON FLASH, SW, E, 
NE, OFF FLASH (back at the Hall of Mirrors), TWIST, S, INSERT 
SQUARE, S, INSERT CIRCLE, N, INSERT TRIANGLE, DOWN, INSERT

and a note about what to do with the ring, sun, moon and ornament

SILVER, GET GOLD, GET ORNAMENT, CAREFULLY EXAMINE, REDESCRIBE (you 
see the fountain on a pedestal), PUT ORNAMENT (you see a slot), 
INSERT RING, INSERT SILVER, INSERT GOLD. You are finished.
