(Start standing at an open gate somewhere in the English countryside), E, E (church), E, E, N (north
transept - note what the engraved tablet says), S, S (to south transept - note clue "A" is
one of the four), S (into churchyard maze), E, GET FLORIN, S, W, S, W, N, W, N, GET LADDER, S, S
(note clue "D" one of the six), S, E, S, GET HALFCROWN, N, W, N, N,. E, S, E, S, S, E, N
(you fall into an open grave), GET SKULL, DROP LADDER, U W, N, N, N, E, N, W, N (back to south
transept), N, E (altar), GET CANDLE, GET MATCHBOX, N, N (into vicar's office), WAKE VICAR (he
welcomes you to St. Huberts and tells you about it).

W, S, S (spiral stone staircase), LIGHT CANDLE, D, N (to crypt entrance), S (side chamber), GET
GOBLET, N, W, W, W, N (side chamber), OPEN SARCOPHAGUS (1), IN (to a stone platform), D (passage),
GET rat CAGE, E (round table where a knight throws you out), S (Merlin's Chamber where a black
cat is looking at you), DROP CAGE (the cat devours the rat), FILL GOBLET (with potion from the
cauldron), DRINK POTION (you become a rat - note that you drop everything), N, E (this time the
knight doesn't notice you), E (into green chapel), GET KEY (note you cannot carry the crucifix
in your present state), W, W, S (back to Merlin's Chamber where you change back), GET GOBLET,
GET CANDLE, GET MATCHBOX, GET HALFCROWN, GET SKULL, GET FLORIN, LIGHT CANDLE, N, N (note clue
"R" is one of the 4), UNLOCK DOOR (using the key from the green chapel), DROP KEY, E (into
knight's locker room), GET magic GIRDLE (a feeling of power surges through you and you will now
be able to carry more items and open the rest of the sarcophagi lids), W, S, E (the knight seeing
your girdle stands at attention), E, GET CRUCIFIX, W, W, U, OUT.

S, S, E, E, OPEN SARCOPHAGUS (7), IN, D (into marble hall), N, E (to Roman Arena where you meet a
lion), DROP SKULL (the lion grabs it and leaves), E, E (into private chamber), GET SCEPTER, W, W, W,
W, W (freezing air blows out your candle), S, LIGHT CANDLE (shrine - clue "O is two of the
six"), GET IDOL, N (again the candle is blown out - note don't go north or you will fall
into a Roman cistern and die), E, LIGHT CANDLE, E, S, U, OUT.

W (note clue "B" is one of the 6), W, OPEN SARCOPHAGUS (5), IN (you fall onto a bed of
unclean straw and will have to find another way out), GET SHILLING, E, (to west portal), E
(Escher's maze), E, E, N, E (note clue "Y" is one of the 6 and one of the 4), W, W
(note clue "M" is one of the 4), N, N, E, E, S, E (to east portal), E (to an east/west
corridor), GET SIXPENCE, D (down the drain - are your sure?), YES (the candle goes out), LIGHT
CANDLE (you are in the green chapel), W (past the knight), W, U, OUT.

S, E, E, N, OPEN SARCOPHAGUS (3), IN (note clue "L" is one of the 6 - the lid slides back
into place and you are trapped), SAY HUBERT (you are transported to the north transept), S, E (to
altar), DROP GOBLET, DROP CRUCIFIX, DROP SCEPTER, DROP IDOL, DROP HALFCROWN, S (staircase), D, N
(crypt entrance).

W, W, W, N, E, OPEN SARCOPHAGUS (2), IN (stone platform), D, D (quay where you meet a boatman who
tells you it will cost three and six to cross), DROP SIXPENCE, DROP FLORIN, DROP SHILLING (he takes
you to traitors' gate), U (entrance to fortress where a voice asks "Who Goes
There?"), BLOODY MARY (from the clues - the portcullis is raised), N (the portcullis is lowered
behind you and you find yourself in the maze of forbidding corridors, W (junction), GET SEAL, S, W,
E, S (to jewel room), GET CROWN, GET STAFF, GET ORB, N, W, N, N (to steps), D (into "Little
Ease," the foulest dungeon in the tower), DROP MATCHBOX, GET NECKLACE, U (you hear footsteps
which come from the headless axeman so don't hang around), U (to stone platform), PULL LEVER (a
stone slab moves aside), OUT (by sarcophagus 8), CLOSE SARCOPHAGUS.

N, E, U, N (to altar), DROP NECKLACE, DROP SEAL, DROP CROWN, DROP STAFF, DROP ORB, S, D, N, N, OPEN
SARCOPHAGUS (4), IN, GET RELIQUARY, OUT, S, E, U, N (altar), DROP RELIQUARY, DROP GIRDLE (a sudden
fatigue sweeps over you after all your labours and you are overcome with a desire to sleep.... You
awaken in the Vicar's office), W, S, S, D, N (into brightly lit crypt where you see the
treasures you found).
