THE NIELSON PAPERS

Notes
1. This walk through applies to the version which has been revised to facilitate more logical
movement between locations, although the basic actions would be the same in any version.
2. Even when carrying the silencer, if you use the gun the sonic alarms will sound and you will be
caught.  Instead of using the gun, when the security guard (who appears at random) is present, FIGHT
GUARD, WITH HANDS.  Note it may be necessary to do this a number of times until he is dead and
occasionally the game will have to be started again.
3. If you have the cup you can get a coffee from the coffee machine but it isn't necessary in
order to complete the game.
4. You can only use the key twice, after that you get the message "It is old, you used it too
much and it crumbled to dust," so don't bother to unlock the door in reception.

Walk Through
(Start in the main entrance), GO NORTH (reception - don't unlock the door here, see note 4),
GET TORCH, GO EAST, GO SOUTH (dark corridor), GET KEY, GO EAST, GO NORTH, GO WEST, GO WEST (records
department - leave the rope), READ PAPERS (don't waste your time... they are company accounts,
very boring), GO WEST, GO WEST (plush conference room - there is a locked door to the north), UNLOCK
DOOR (with the key), GO NORTH (into a lift), GO NORTH (to the director's boardroom on the top
floor), GO WEST (into a spacious office), GET SILENCER, GO EAST, GO SOUTH, GO SOUTH, GO EAST, GO
EAST, GO EAST, GO EAST, GO NORTH (strong room), GO NORTH (into the steel vault), GET MONEY (you are
now trapped inside the vault - good job you have the key), OPEN DOOR, GO SOUTH, DROP KEY, GO SOUTH
(accounts department), CHANGE MONEY (in the coin machine and you now have a single coin).

GO WEST, GO NORTH, GO WEST, GO NORTH (computer room), GET COMPUTER (pocket), GO SOUTH, GO WEST, GO
EAST, GO SOUTH (telex room), READ MEMO (scribbled - it's in code), DECODE MEMO (with the
pocket-computer - the gloves are in the washroom), GO NORTH, GO WEST, GO NORTH, GO NORTH, GO EAST
(executive washrooms), SEARCH WASHROOM (must be carrying the torch so you can see... you see a coin
lock on the toilet door), PUT COIN LOCK (the door swings open to reveal gloves), GET GLOVES, GO
EAST.

GO SOUTH, GO EAST, GO SOUTH, GO EAST, GO SOUTH, GO WEST, GO WEST (reception), COMPUTE CODE (the
answer to the door code has been found - just enter "go west"), DROP COMPUTER, DROP GUN,
DROP SILENCER, DROP GLOVES, GO EAST, GO EAST, GO EAST (typing pool - leave the paper clips), GET
STOOL (note you can only carry the stool and one other item), GO WEST, GO WEST, GO WEST, GO WEST
(document room), SEARCH ROOM (you need the torch... the secret papers are on the top shelf), CLIMB
STOOL (you can reach the secret papers now), STEAL PAPERS (the alarm sounds and you don't have
much time), GO EAST, GET GLOVES, GO EAST, GO EAST, GO EAST (maintenance area), GET WIRECUTTERS, GO
NORTH, GO WEST, GO NORTH, GO NORTH (beside electrified fence), WEAR GLOVES, CUT FENCE (with the
wirecutters - the fence has been cut and you can get out by going north), GO NORTH (to an alley
behind the complex where a car is waiting to take you away).

You were 100% successful in your mission and the organisation has
kindly let you keep the objects you collected, except the secret papers.
