Once again Dr Van Halen begins a dark investigation around a chilling discovery. This is the seventh chapter of the saga, based on Dr. Van Halen's recently discovered manuscripts currently in the possession of Lord Kingsley. Watson's journals do not verify the relationship between Holmes and Dr. Van Halen, obviously since Watson considered that humanity was not prepared for the cases in which Dr. Van Halen was involved. But, in "The Adventure of the Creeping Man", clearly related to the events in Switzerland (the date is cleverly manipulated) Watson records Holmes' final words: "When one tries to rise above Nature, one is liable to fall below it. The highest type of man may revert to the animal if he leaves the straight road of destiny". Where did Watson's interest in human evolution emerge from?
Adventure for Spectrum 48k with illustrations. Second part of the second volume of the series "The strange cases of Doctor Van Hallen".
