Synopsis
Plot
Our story begins in London - the date is 22nd August 1868: where deep in the faceless labyrinth, Dr Henry Jekyll - a wealthy medical scientist seemingly overlooked by history - is approaching the culmination of his work into the very nature of the human psyche.
Long years he has groped, innocent of the danger, towards a discovery that threatens to rip the very fabric of Victorian morality - threatens YOU with the reality of its disaster.
Now he approaches the final reckoning. The theory is sound - the reagents are known. It but remains to put them to the final test...
Notes
The original Spectrum version and the Adventure Workshop published Amstrad CP/M port (both divided into three parts) were created with PAW.
(According to a preview in
Amstrad Action #36 The Essential Myth produced the Amstrad port themselves. However a later
Amstrad Computer User desputes the fact that they'd produced an Amstrad version, indicating the Amstrad version was a The Guild/Adventure Workshop production)
The single-part ST version was produced with STAC by Jack Lockerby for Zenobi Software.
According to the review in Adventure Probe volume 2 issue 8, a Commodore 64 version was initially planned. (This is backed-up by a mention in Advanced Computer Entertainment Issue 13 Oct 88 where it's release is listed, together with an Amstrad version, as "imminent".)
