Synopsis

Plot

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to go to a place deep within the KGB's stronghold from where no-one has returned alive. We have only one message from your 25 predecessors, cut short by a blood curdling scream. It said "Nothing is what it appears to be and....."

You will be placed in a secret Russian military establishment constructed on four levels, with the ability to move between levels and get nearer The Code Room, where, our information suggests, the real challenge begins. Good Luck.

Made artificially difficult, with time constraints, random events, twisty mapping, thematic red herrings, and other annoyances. In the end, not very good as an adventure, the main goal being decoding the messages found throughout the game and making sense of them for the associated contest. This turns out to be less hard than expected compared to the operational difficulties of solving the game in a repeatable way - a walkthrough took me a considerable number of replays to get right.
