Synopsis

Plot

A new era begins in Maroland...

The future belongs to humans. The Elves disregard the affairs of the islands and hide in their ancient mansions, the Ancient Talking Dragons have been almost exterminated... The new world belongs to sailors, merchants and pirates. While naive human magicians search for formulas to gain immortality, It's only a matter of time before some of them come across something they can't control.

Letter from the Magician Delegate of Ea to the Superior Council of Gont

What we all feared has happened. We have felt a commotion in the balance... Our valuable friend Ogion is dead. His power had grown to almost equal ours, but he has liberated an ancient being, a primeval shadow. His young disciple Ged has managed to get out alive.

Letter from the Magician Delegate of Beil to the Superior Council of Gont

The power of an entity lies in its true name. He who knows the true name of something will control it and may destroy it if he wishes, even if it is a fearsome Dragon. The Elves have taught us so, among them those who have dominated one of these magnificent beasts receive the name of Lord of Dragons.

Book of lessons of the Magician Ogion to his disciple Ged

In this adventure you will take the role of Ged, disciple of the murdered magician Ogion. His last advice before the Shadow that he freed from Chaos finished him off was that you should look for the Elf Magicians... With this in mind, direct your steps to Goil, capital and main port of Beil, your native island.
