Synopsis

Your mission is to trap the EVIL SORCERER and return the MAGIC CHALICE. You have been given a MAGIC STAFF with 500 units of magic. Use it to overcome the hazards in THE WHITE BARROWS.

Notes

Not really a traditional text adventure. The game is an variant of Hunt the Wumpus.

The publication history of the game is similar to other titles that started life as type-ins in Argus Press publications.

As listed on the Complete BBC Micro Games Archive:

"The game was adapted for the Acorn Atom by Andrew Thomas and Gareth Callister. The Atom listing was printed in Computing Today magazine in January 1982.

It was later converted for the BBC Micro and published in Personal Software magazine, issue 1, summer 1982.

Thie game was then expanded and released commercially in 1983 by ASP Software."

The Atari conversion was done by George A. Greenway and published by ASP Software.

At some point the game was also published, under license, by Forward Software and was included in the National Computer Club introductory offer.
