Synopsis

Plot

You have a reputation in the underworld as a reliable burglar, so you have been offered a good reward for stealing Professor Fenshire's papers. You have studied his movements for several weeks and you know that he goes for a two-hour walk every afternoon, so getting in was easy. You just waited for him to leave for his walk, then picked the front door lock and went to his study on the second floor. Unfortunately, when the study door closed behind you, it clicked shut and you discovered that it had no door handle or lock on the inside. You are locked in with no obvious escape. Can you get the professor's papers and get out before he returns from his walk?

Notes

This was an entry in the 8th Annual Interactive Fiction Competition, where it placed equal 24th out of 38 entries.

Version 1.0 was the competition entry. Versions 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 were updates with bug fixes and enhancements.

It requires an Alan 2.8 interpreter to run.
