Synopsis

Plot

A jewelry salesman has called on you to try and sell you some of his wares. When you told him about the unset diamond that you've been trying to sell, he said he'd be interested in buying it from you. He's now sitting in your living room. All you have to do is find the diamond and give it to him. Now where did you put it?

Notes

This adventure was originally published as a tutorial in the first part of the author's article on The Wizard, an adventure authoring tool, in ANALOG Computing, issue 58, October 1987, pp. 41–47, 50–56; issue 59, April 1988, pp. 23–29, 69–70.

The data in the tutorial was entered using the editor presented in part 1, then compiled with the compiler presented in part 2. The finished product was a standalone BASIC listing.

This is a very simple adventure that is full of red herrings. Although it is playable, it gives the impression that the puzzles were not finished or were meant to be padded out by the reader.
