Synopsis

Listening to the teller of tales... In the golden years when the mighty gods dwelt upon Olympus, Polydectes, King of Seriphos, wishes to marry Danae, but Perseus defended his unwilling mother. Anxious to be rid of the youth, the king demanded the gift of a horse from all of his subjects. Perseus had no horses, but rashly offered anything else the king might suggest. Knowing that no man returned from visiting the terrible sisters, the king asked for the head of Medusa, a Gorgon. So the youth set forth, but first he made his way towards the temples of Athene and of Hermes to make offerings and to seek their blessing...
