Synopsis

Plot

As the might of the alien Arcadian Empire tightens its hold on our galaxy, the leaders of the secret Earth organisation, SAROS, gather their slender resources into one last daring and foolhardy mission to strike at the heart of the invaders' home planet.

YOU are their last hope. Equipped with a forbidden laser sword, your mission is to seek out the underground resistance and piece together the vital code you need to destroy the enemy. But time is running out and only YOU stand in the way of the Arcadians' complete domination of the galaxy!

The game follows the book quite closely in places. The gameplay is built around visits to a number of planets - the order is strictly linear, and as items from one planet will be needed for puzzles on another, very careful planning is needed.

Notes

The game engine was licensed from Roger Taylor's Ashminster Computing.

An unofficial version exists for the C16.

The manual has hints on how to speed up your spaceship's takeoff.

Yes. We only list official versions, but we do make a mention of unofficial conversions from time to time.
Excellent game, by the way, and rather tricky to complete.
