The game originally appeared as a type-in in ZX Computing magazine #7 June 1983.

The (unofficial?) Spectrum version, attributed to Barry C. Thorne, is sometimes listed in archives as having been included in an issue of 16/48 Magazine, but there is no evidence of this.
