Synopsis

Plot

There was once...

A page of the king leads you into the large audience hall of the castle, where you have just arrived a few moments ago. "Your seat is over there, next to the magician," the page whispers in your ear. He goes out to tell the king that you have arrived. You sit down. Murmurs rise in the hall. you look around In front, at the end of the long table at which you have just taken your seat, stands the king, surrounded by his ministers.

"May I introduce myself, son?" suddenly asks the magician next to you. "I'm Alchemed, your Majesty. As I heard, we - and a third one - have been invited to help the king out of a misery."

Then the king raises his hand with a dignified gesture to speak: "Well, folks, as you know, we have something important to settle here. Not everyone has arrived yet, but we're getting started." He starts pacing back and forth. "As you all know, we have been having problems with our budget for some time. That's why..." A minister jumps up: "What do you mean here: we!?" The king hesitantly continues: "Hmm - well... OK: I have problems..." Again he is interrupted. "And what about the army?!" shouts a general. "We're missing it at every end!"

The king raises his hands soothingly: "Children, it doesn't work like that. Now let me go on. Yes? - Good! The fact is that we - I - ehh - the others also need money, otherwise I won't be able to do anything else here soon I've called you all together here so that we can find a way out of the state crisis. In view of the extremely difficult situation we are - uhh..." He looks at the minister, but he is preoccupied with himself. "Well, we have come to the conclusion that only the "flower of seven-day wisdom" known from the legend can help. It grows in a large garden, beyond the great mountains and the dragon valley. With this valley, our But problems are just beginning." He looks around.

On this occasion you find that your neighbour the magician has gently dozed off. You turn back to the King, who continues: "Because beyond the mountains and the Dragon Valley there is actually only desert. Only - so says an old legend - the dragons know how to get to the garden. Unfortunately, dragons are quite strange people, whose company is not avoided in vain."

The general raises his hand triumphantly: "Why don't we just pop the old dragon out of its hole, hold a mortar under its nose and let us lead us to the flower?" - "Because the only functioning piece of artillery in our possession is the golasch cannon in the castle kitchen, my dear Kunibert," says the treasurer calmly, who has just entered the hall and is sitting down next to the king. The General blushes, takes a deep breath and then puts his hand back on the table.

The minister gets up and says with a sideways glance at the king: "For this reason we have - at the instigation of his majesty - chosen three people who are to procure the weed... pardon me - the flower: an experienced magician, a reliable warrior - who unfortunately comes too late again - and a nothing-nu... aehh - a fearless adventurer." He sits down again.

At this moment, a loud crack suddenly sounds. A somewhat stocky person falls into the hall through a side door. The magician wakes up, looks at the presents and says: "This is our companion Harri Maehne, my son. He is a master of the Pengklo - and a specialist for locked doors."

The king speaks up again: "Now that all the heroes have arrived - which we all welcome - the adventure can now begin. I wish everyone involved good luck."

You get up and leave the hall together with Alchemed the magician and the warrior. Alchemed's house dragon is already waiting in front of the door, wagging its scaly tail in a friendly manner. "What is pengklo?" you ask Alchemed. He replies: "A martial art from the Far East. It's called that because the old master Peng wrote down the basics on a certain document, my son."
