Games - Legend Entertainment (7 results)

Founded in 1989 by Mike Verdu and Infocom veteran Bob Bates, Legend Entertainment tried to continue the text adventure tradition in the 1990s. Their Spellcasting series was written by Bates' former Infocom colleague Steve Meretzky.
Starting with Companions of Xanth (1993), they began experimenting with graphical games and user interfaces, including a shooter based on Robert Jordan's fantasy world, Wheel of Time.
In 2003, they wrote the sequel to the wildly popular first person shooter, Unreal.

After being bought twice, the company was shut down by then-current owner Atari in 2004.

There is an unofficial site about the company here.
