This is a tomb in-between the stars, which Olivia has to enter to extricate herself from this interstellar trap. Io, the navigation robot of the Polaris-7, is probably her only friend now. Far away from home and surrounded by death and decay, she found the answer to one of the greatest questions of mankind. Are we alone? The answer is: yes, out here, we are more alone than ever.
Quilled and PAWed versions...
The original C64 version was produced using The Quill. The first ZX Spectrum and MS-DOS versions, and versions for C128 (CP/M) and Amstrad CP/M were created using the PAW (via inPAWs).
DAAD versions...
The Amiga & Atari ST versions were later produced using DAAD. New versions for the Amstrad CPC, C64, DOS and Spectrum were also created using DAAD with these becoming the official release versions. The DAAD version was also released for Plus 4 and MSX. Physical versions of the game were released through PolyPlay in 2019.
Also in 2019, an official version was produced using Adventuron for PCs and mobile devices, running in a browser window.
The Director's Cut...
In 2021 a brand new Director's Cut was produced using the Hibernated 2 engine created with PunyInform. This enhanced, reworked version of the game was made available for C64, Amstrad CPC, Spectrum +3, Spectrum Next, Amstrad PCW, Amiga, Atari 8-Bit, Atari ST, PC DOS, Apple II, BBC Micro/Electron, Commodore 128 & Plus 4, Mega65, MSX1/2, Oric, TI99/4A, VIC-20, PET, SAM Coupe, Dragon 32, Apple Mac, TRS-80 CoCo, TRS-80, Modern PC, and in Z-machine format.
The Director's Cut version uses nautical directions rather than traditional compass references for movement.

I've just completed Hibernated - 1 and really enjoyed it. I have to admit I struggled at times but that's no criticism of the game, more like me being out of practice!
This one gets a 10 out of 10 from me!
