I can't see the delete button (or any of the others), I'm afraid.
You need to be logged in to the forum.

But even if you are logged in, I think you won't see the Delete button (the cross) unless the post in question is the final post in the thread.

Re: Adventure Diploma - completable?

Your walkthrough goes wrong at the "S[outh]" at the end of the following excerpt:

At this point the game says, "You cannot move that way."

I had to find the last letter by trial and error, and I agree that the clue for it doesn't seem to make sense. <rot13> V guvax gur pyhr sbe gur ynfg yrggre -- "gur bar gung'f gehr" -- zvtug ersre gb gur rkcerffvba "gehr-craal" va Unzyrg. Re: Adventure Diploma - completable?

The answer to question 6 is "Read the cryptic message on the cave wall and think it out." It doesn't sound like you've found that "cryptic message" yet. The description of the room with the cryptic message on the wall literally says "a cryptic message on the cave wall", and the cryptic message itsel...

Unlock/moderate a post?

Hi. Is anyone able to unlock or moderate or release a post made by Jonathan O about Adventure Diploma in the Classics section of the forum, please? Apparently it's being held for review.

Re: "All copies of the game were destroyed in a house fire"

Is this it?? https://www.solutionarchive.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=413&p=5296&hilit=house+fire#p4348 Yes, well found, cat! It was just that the rather unlikely and very unfortunate events (mainly the fire) have stuck in my mind ever since I first read the Synopsis -- which I only did by chance...

[Shogoth] "All copies of the game were destroyed in a house fire"

Trying to identify a game... I believe there's a game that has an entry at CASA with a Notes section that says something like "All known copies were destroyed when the author's house burnt down" or something like that. But I can't remember the title of the game! Does anyone know which game I'm talki...

Re: Westbury Mystery

This is what John Elliott told me: The problem seems to be a corrupt entry in the Response table -- there should be a 0xFF byte after the DONE to indicate the end of the entry, but it seems to have gone missing. So UnQuill tries to interpret the bytes that follow as actions, even though they're out...

Re: Westbury Mystery

OMG! The answer has been staring us in the face! There is no "extra data" or "corrupted data" or "unparsed data" or "missing data" or whatever! The apparent corruption has to be due to a bug in Unquill. Look at the first section of decompiled data that Strident posted upthread (these actions immedia...

Re: Westbury Mystery

I had contacted John Elliott about this. John Elliott modified UnQuill because the code in Westbury Mystery made it crash. That's no longer the case, but the problem remains in the decompilation of the code. Yes, I had already seen that post by you. I'm suggesting that the "problem" that "remains i...

Unquill doesn't seem to have a problem with The Illustrator; I've already decompiled several games with graphics and it seems to work.
Are you in contact with the author of Unquill? Do you think it might be worth letting him know about this problem?

Re: Westbury Mystery

Sorry for the weird post above , but whenever I tried to edit the post after uploading the attachments, they would mysteriously disappear! The first image was from the unQuill output. Looks like Westbury might have been built with the C64 Illustrator package -- albeit without any actual illustration...

Re: Westbury Mystery

Excerpts from a couple of documents in the C64 download of Quill at 8-bit.info suggest that Westbury might be a game made with the Illustrator package, which provides the RAMsave feature:
