Re: Help loading a game

But seriously, does anyone know how to load data from tape with the Zesarux emulator? This is frustrating as all get out, especially when the emulator breaks out of the current program and expects to find another program on the new tape.

I meant, unreadable by screen readers and various assistive technologies. For most sighted folks, it's very readable.

Re: Help loading a game

C64: WinVICE is very accessible, I think. Fully menu driven, and it lets you auto-run games with a few clicks. Yes, I'm aware of vice. However, if I, for example, was to load up the Hobbit, the text would be borderline unreadable. I know of a few folks who have managed to play adventures using OCR,...

Re: Help loading a game

Also, why the hell hasn't anyone made an accessible Commodore 64 emulator? I'd love to be able to play some C64 adventures.

Help loading a game

Hello. This may sound like a dumb question, but how do I load a saved game from tape on a spectrum emulator? I'm using Zesarux (the only spectrum emulator with text to speech capabilities), and I've saved a position to a tape. Keep in mind I'm loading the game itself from tape. When I load the tape ...

Looking for game transcripts

Hello everyone. I have recently got a bad case of IF writers block, and I am wondering where I can find some game transcripts of old C64, Spectrum or TRS-80 adventures, as I would like to port some games to the Inform 7 authoring system. I have a few Quill and PAW game databases (output by UnPAWS), ...

Yet another modern game in the Scott Adams format

A while ago, I posted thread , Informing People of a modern game, written in the Scott Adams format. That game was, of course, Desert Adventure. Now I'm back again to tell you about another modern game in the Scott Adams Format. This one is called "Arr(Pron:aire" (I may have misspelled the title). I...

A new adventure in the works

Hello adventurers! I am working on my first adventure game. I will either use Python (a scripting language) or TAB (thinBASIC adventure builder) to do the job. I'm leaning a little more towards TAB, sinse it is written for the task of writing IF. I am planning to include graphics, sounds and RPG cha...

Re: Desert Adventure, A new game in the Scott Adams format

Not sure. I'm not sure if it shows up in the game at all. But hey, one peek at the solution won't hurt, as long as you're not reading it just to solve the game. If I had the author's contact info, I would ask him, but alas I don't.

Re: Desert Adventure, A new game in the Scott Adams format

I have submitted a commented solution and a review. Sure the game comes with a solution. But the only comments it provides are a spoiler warning. So I submitted my solution, as well as a review.
