Re: Another Classic Ported to TRS-80 MC-10

I have updated my Type-in programs pages, including the one with all the text adventures I have ported to, translated to English, or recoded in Micro Color Basic.

Re: new member and mulldoon

Hey Brennan,

Welcome. Don't know if I can be much help. I just make Basic games for an old eight bit computer computer from Tandy/Radio Shack. If you ever have need for a eight bit Basic programmer, I'm your man.

Re: Another Classic Ported to TRS-80 MC-10

I'm not sure it's a "CYOA" game. Aren't those games (or books) where you make choices that lead to different possible alternate endings? This one is just an immensely simple "menu driven" adventure in Basic. You must figure out the single solution by figuring out the "right" menu selection for each ...

Re: An Actor's Nightmare (TRS-80 CoCo)

Although it might not work in this case. Typing:
PCLEAR1 <Enter>
before loading a program can free up space for very large BASIC programs that don't use graphics.

Re: Does anyone fancy testing The Vespozian Affair (BBC)

Iamaran, Here's a walkthrough that might help in your debugging. Walkthrough for MC-10 Version of Vespozian Affair (heavily debugged). You are continuously being dogged by the Bloodline Empire spy "Grakta." The following list of actions are the ones needed to win, but they can't include the random o...

In this context, "treason" means porting from Spectrum to MC10.

Re: Does anyone fancy testing The Vespozian Affair (BBC)

Oops. Not a problem with "GET" as such. I had introduced a subroutine that used the same variable as the Verb list. Fixed that. Then realized it only take "TAKE". Still fiddling. Been assassinated once for treason. Oh well...

Re: Does anyone fancy testing The Vespozian Affair (BBC)

Been working on Vesporian from a Spectrum version I detokenized. There seems to be something deeply wrong with it. I can't "GET" anything. It would be helpful if there was a walkthrough, but there doesn't seem to be one. Is this because there are no working versions? The same problem with "GET" seem...

Don't worry. I managed to detokenize a Speccy version. I think it will convert easily to TRS-80 MC-10.

Re: Does anyone fancy testing The Vespozian Affair (BBC)

Any chance you could shoot me any of these versions as text files? I have the scan, but some of the edges are missing in a few places. Any additional info, text strings, etc. would be really helpful.
