Re: Leadlight - a brand new horror adventure for the Apple I

Thanks for the heads-up regarding the first game - as for the second one, I'm not familiar with anyone who has solved it. Sorry!

Re: Sort of old-ish new member, or new-ish old member

Welcome back into the fold - always good to see "old" members resurface :) And feel free to ask any tech questions you come across.

We don't have a beginner's guide for the Spectrum, but if you're new to the BBC, C64, Amstrad or Dragon, we have guides to get you started on those formats :)

Re: CASA slowness

Ugh... the loading times are one aspect of times gone by that I don't miss in any way, shape or form ;)

Has anyone else experienced slow loading of the site?

Re: CASA slowness

Hmmm.... I'm not sure. I did a lot of updating yesterday, and that went pretty smoothly. But at other times I've been inclined to agree.

Re: Any French Speakers on here?

it's very hard to tell if Le monde des sorciers is just a port of Sorcellerie with a different title, a modified version, or a totally different game with a similar premise... :?
That's an ongoing problem with a number of games. At any rate, it's easier to merge two entries at a later stage than ...

Forum up again

It seems as if the forum software made a minor hiccup, but we seem to be back on the air.

Re: Any French Speakers on here?

While the BASIC issue listed above is being investigated, I thought I'd weigh in with some input on the French platforms. I've been in touch with Daniel Coulom, author of a heap of emulators. Among other things, he wrote:
I looked for adventure games for every french computer I made an emulator for ...

Re: Any French Speakers on here?

Thanks for the Thomson link. I've been looking at the various machines in that range for some time, but I hadn't found any good sites that offered a compact overview of the games available.

Re: Any French Speakers on here?

I wonder what we should put in the "Platforms" info of the game page, in cases like that?
Normally magazine/book program listing are put as whatever platform is listed in the book/magazine and ports ignored. I suppose generic "should work on everything" type listings should have a general platform ...

Re: About the platforms/Japanese games

Hi, and welcome to the forum! And thanks for bringing up these topics :)

Dave beat me to answering the majority of your questions. Regarding the unofficial conversions, Dave is correct - I've received some requests to include them, but as one of our goals is to catalogue which games have been ...

Re: Escape from Raka Tua

Ok, both the Pirate scans and the MVS sub-site is now linked correctly on the articles page.
Apart from removing the menu from the old site, I haven't done anything with the MVS pages, but at least they're working now.

Re: Escape from Raka Tua

Stu, you have a pm ;)

And yes, the articles section still needs revision. Bringing the MVS sub-site into line with the rest of the site's design would be a lot of work, so that's something that needs careful consideration.

Re: Escape from Raka Tua

What is Treasure of Dead Man's Cay? I find no references to it outside of this site.

That's because CASA is your #1 source for all the breaking news on the adventure front ;)

No, really... Brian Betts wrote a few more games that for various reasons went unpublished. Treasure (which, yes, is ...
