Terri, since I'm going off on a week's vacation from tomorrow on, can I persuade you to leave the game until I return? I think the power unit is an important discovery, and I'd like to be part of the solution for the rest of the game.

In the starting location there's only the bucket and the crowbar apart from the computer. No power pack.

In the shop we still have the briefcase, which we haven't been able to purchase.

But really, I'm out of ideas. Geoff, suggestions? How do we use the transmitter to remove the guards?

Mark, good suggestion but the tube is made of metal, so no go. But thanks for diving in along with us :thumb: That's something we don't see very often.

Terri, what power unit are you referring to? I must have missed it?

I am quite sure that our next step is to get that transmitter to open, so we ...

Mark, excellent advice! Actually, I have been on the lookout for anything plastic-like, but so far nothing has shown up. But I hadn't thought about electricity.

Terri: I think the magazine is just there to let you know that the tube is actually a flute. You don't need the flute for the monolith ...

Ah, here we go:
the word from the well is for the old lady, who leads you to the rebels :D

Ok, a recap:

1. The tube is the musical instrument - actually, it's a flute
2. I don't think you need to do anything with the dustbin. It just contains the magazine and the fur gloves.
3. After finding the ...

Argh! I missed an entire section - when heading N and E after finding the robot, going W doesn't lead back to the same location. Stupid, stupid me. Ok, I'm finally back on track with the rest of you ;)
That should learn me to map properly!

Ok, so just to clarify: I enter the maze south of the Torture Room, then get rid of the guards there, and the tube etc. will turn up?

I am just confused since you mentioned the sandwich in an earlier post where you apparently hadn't found the torture room yet. So which is the correct order?

Ah, another problem arises: I haven't found the tube, hence no sandwich either.

As for the padlock, which is exactly where you said it would be, you simply HIT PADLOCK and the robot will take over from there. No items needed.

I not sure if you need to get past the guard - perhaps if we solve the ...

The water is in the well. FILL BUCKET works.

Duh. Stupid me. I was totally convinced that this was an old, disused well (the kind you climb down). If only EXAMINE had been implemented better. Strangely, in the torture room your head is submerged in water, and I tried every possible way of getting ...

Obviously I'm not doing too well on this one...
I have to admit having found neither water nor dynamite (where to look? - I've SEARCH'ed everywhere).
But I did find a use for the egg and have made my way through the corridors to the guard control room
(direction from Torture Room: S, E, NW, SE, E, N ...

I must be exceptionally dimwitted - I can't figure out the bit with the brown creature. I've toured it around the entire phone booth area, I've made phone calls with it, I've been calling far and wide, but no second brown creature turns up?

Somebody please enlighten me!

Terri,
I undertand your concerns, but I merely propose to update the actual CASA site, with solutions, maps, hints etc. I don't intend to change the forum as such - I will update to the newest version of the forum software once it becomes stable, but that won't make any major differences to the ...

Sorry, can't help you there. I'm a complete legasthenic when it comes to coding. But actually, apart from the site being a little slow sometimes, I see nothing much wrong with it. Also, isn't 'old school' this site's middle name? :-)

Yeah, this is "old school" all right :D For what it is, the ...

Programmer(s) needed

Lest anyone should miss it, here's my current posting on the CASA front page:

A plea for assistance!

The current version of CASA is hopelessly outdated in the technical department and lacks the most fundamental options expected by modern users. And I won't make any mention of the numerous broken ...
