Yes, I'm also very pleased with this. I hope that this is the beginning of a new trend :)

Favourite machine?

I've been wondering what oldies machine you people out there are using to get your daily adventure fix?
I really like to shop around the various 8-bit formats - recently I've dabbled in the Jupiter Ace (how many people have ever heard of that one??), but at the moment I mainly play BBC games. They ...

Re: crystal caverns

It took me a while to figure this one out, even though it is very simple. There's only one key at this point in the game: the odd shaped key you use to unlock the gate. Try it.

For a moment there I felt really clever, as I thought the door puzzle was rather obvious. But since I'm only up to 11 ...

Really? It's just NE of your start location, so you can't miss it :)

Ok, I don't have as much time for experimenting as I'd like to, so could you please get me started here?
I have explored the mansion and discovered where I'm supposed to place the treasures. I've tried jumping off the chasm edge with my parachute, only to get killed.
I've found a handful of items ...

I've never heard of this one before, but it looks interesting. Give me a bit of time to catch up :)

Thanks - just needed those final commands, then.
What a disappointment this game turned out to be! Way too many sudden death situations and a lot of awkward attempts at humour.

Ok, I think I need one more gentle hint, as I'm tired of dying all the time.

After a number of really questionable puzzles I've made it to the oak-panelled room where I've found the hour glass. Each time I take it and try to exit through the tunnel, I am killed for "not being worthy". I've ...

Thanks a lot. I probably wouldn't have figured that one out on my own, but I did waste an awful lot of time rechecking each forest location. Not a very good puzzle, but there it is, all the same.

As for the digging part - the text mentions that you're digging with your hands, but if you fail to ...

If it's any help, here's what I've got:
- the map (of course, incomplete)
- Save state 1 (this is right before entering the cave - once you've gone in there's no going back ...

Old Father Time (BBC)

I'm stuck in this oldie. I have passed through a beam and am now standing in a room with a blinding light, unable to do anything.
I have found a "password" of sorts, Omega. Does this have any connection with the coin with the Greek text.

I know this is a long show as there are probably not many who ...

The 101 commands seems to be a common problem with many games of the era. I have to admit that my patience with guess-the-word games isn't as large as it used to be. I'd rather spend time solving puzzles than trying 10 different commands for the same action.

From what I can deciphre, you need
- the stone
- the parchment
- the amulet
- the map

Did that help you any?

Terri has sent me a hint file, so I'm able to help.

Simply ask the hermit for help (HERMIT HELP), and he should guide you onwards.
