Alastair, thanks for making me look like a complete internet nitwit :) :) Very nice bit of detective work.

Good to see that the project is still active. I've been thinking of doing an Inform game for a long time, but it seems terribly time consument. Perhaps this is better as an introduction in ...

Hmmmm.... I don't really know what to suggest. I use EmuZWin myself (readily available in the Emulator section!) and the game runs without any problems. What version of Spectaculator are you running? If it's an older one, it might be worth updating or trying another emulator.

To get a taste of ...

The Land Beyond Time

In case you missed the announcement in the news section, I've added Simon Allan's The Land Beyond Time for download. Simon's Spectrum game was created in 1985 but not finished until late 2006. You can find it for download right here

Any comments will be greatly appreciated! Post them right here or ...

Hi Mark,
I'm gonna take you up on that promise, you know ;)

Good to see that you're still around - a number of other site regulars seem to have gone M.I.A., but I presume that they are still out there, somewhere.

Anyway, I'll continue to update the site as long as there is something to update it ...

Have you made any progress? How far are you into the game? Is it too late to join in?

Well well well, amazing what a lot of perseverance can accomplish. I managed to answer all of my questions myself :)

What a genuinely terrific game this is!

Oh, and another thing:
I have no idea if there's any special order I should deal with the various sub-areas (behind the white doors)

Thanks!

The Infocom games were the first I ever played. I bought the entire collection (complete with hints), and worked my way through all of them.

Wow! What a (rather expensive) to get started in adventure gaming :D I never got around to buying more than 8 or 9 of them as they were immensely expensive ...

Trinity - anyone want to join in?

I've created this grand plan to play my way through the entire range of Infocom titles (excluding the latest Zork games). I've never played more than half of them, and after 15-20 years I really can't recall much of said half.

After having had a ball with Wishbringer and Starcross , and going ...

I'm just joining in now, so give me a bit of time to catch up :)

I have to admit that I've never heard of the Apricot, let alone Island of Artuan before, but it looks like a nice challenge.

How tiresome - KILL ORC asks for a weapon so I spent ages looking for the right item. Ok, back on track now.

Hmmm... apparently it's been almost a year and a half since I had a go at this one. I'm stuck in the second hall of enlightenment on top of a mountain. There's an orc here.

I haven't found the dwarf, though.
