Re: BEST text adventure maker to use to REMAKE a game....
Hope to have this one done soon too; currently playing the game using Apple // WIN and typing all the commands, locations, items and etc to a text editor on the same screen. ;) Would Ciderpress http://ciderpress.sourceforge.net/ be of any help here? It may allow you to copy and paste the text ...

Re: Egyptian Adventure - BBC Micro
Why not just write a hint sheet instead of a full walkthrough. You usually can do this from memory, and it's more fun for future players to have some guesswork left. The site offers both hints and solutions so that players can choose the option they prefer. Furthermore, a problem with hints is that ...

There's no reason why there can't be two ways of reaching the guides.

Re: Out of Date Emulator Links
Re. VICE. The old link was the official page but if you look at the bottom of the page you will see that they moved over to SourceForge. That said, it was only when someone on an OS/2 forum mentioned a new version of VICE was available and gave the new link that I realised that the page had moved ...

Re: Sort of old-ish new member, or new-ish old member
The guides are available by clicking their respective platforms.
It is a bit of a convoluted process to reach a guide: you have to either click on a platform link from within a game entry, or do a direct search for that platform, either way you then have to click on the "starting guide" link to ...

Re: Out of Date Emulator Links
VICE has a new website where you will find version 2.3 at http://vice-emu.sourceforge.net/
Also, I think Samwise has located the new official page for Apple II Oasis (now at version 2.6), this site's current link does little more than link back to the defunct Geocities site.

Terri,

Re: CASA slowness
I have, but then during the same period some other sites were also slow. So in my cases it was probably down to my ISP or general internet slowness rather than something specific to this site.Gunness wrote:Has anyone else experienced slow loading of the site?

Re: About the platforms/Japanese games
Hi,
when looking at the Coleco Adam games list I noticed it contained Infocom adventures, I was wondering if these are genuine platform specific releases or just the CP/M versions runable on the computer. If CP/M was officially released for the Adam then any CP/M game that can run on the Adam may ...

Re: Duplicate Entries
Before I edit, we think that the publisher is Alfo Software and the author is Ad Lomer (is it A. D. Lomer or Ad. Lomer)? I think the publisher is Alfo Software and the author (or one of the authors) is Mr. Lomer. As for his name, I don't know. As far as I can tell the name "Ad. Lomer" comes from ...

Re: Duplicate Entries
The advert does mention school days and it seems that the Ad Lomer game's protagonist is a schoolboy. The advert also mentions amazing cartoon graphics, and the Ad Lomer game does sport amazingly poor  graphics including the one below. Could the name Alfo come from the initials of Ad Lomer and ...
