Merry Christmas Jacob and anyone else who celebrates on the 24th.

And Merry Christmas to those who celebrate on Christmas Day (whether that be tomorrow, or some time in January).

It's terrible - I haven't been able to find any bugs this past fortnight!

(Thanks for the good work.)

I found the following quote posted on this website http://www.beebgames.com/games.php?company=202 'The Secret Sam text adventures are cheerily described collectively by Mike G as "bloody awful", the first part as "ropey, and tenuous and unpredictable" and the second as "totally incomprehensible ...

Then, I press M, and it gives me the correct toolbar at the top. Using the right cursor key, I can highlight "access". Then I use the down cursor and can highlight "Load program".

Then what do I do? Enter doesn't work; neither do the cursor keys.
Space bar? If that doesn't work then there's ...

My memory must be going, I cannot recall starting this game let alone creating a map for it!

On a more serious note. How will these pages be indexed? Will there still be alphabetical lists of all the adventures, with an indication next to each name as to if the game has a solution, map, hints ...

Uh... it's still broken for me. No single image, the main content area is tiny (about 100x100 pixels below the large menu). This looks like a JavaScript issue, I tried the site with JavaScript turned off and it was as you described (at least tabbing works in this state though it's not much use when ...

The site's back up again, now the criticism...

Whilst the pages contain good content, the site itself isn't 'tab friendly' which is a pity as I prefer opening pages in new tabs when browsing a site that has a lot of content.

BTW - I think you only get notifications if a private message has been sent, not posts to the regular forum. It's down to personal preference, you can change it under "Profile" (near the top of the page, not the "Profile" button attached to each message). You can also tick the relevant box when ...

"beat" was the right word - now the Jabberwock is dead and I've transformed my lupins. I can't find any more puzzles? Go back to the bandersnatch lair and use the tamtam one last time. Then get ready to save often, as most puzzles won't be apparent until after the game kills you.

Interestingly ...

You are on the right path, the runes will make sense in the fourth part so make sure to copy them down correctly. I'll have to check up the correct verb for the tomtom and tamtam, but I think it's bash, you also need to be standing next to the correct tree for the Jabberwock's lair to be revealed.

So far I have mapped 16 locations in the maze - I think I have explored all the rooms so far very carefully. I have found the tomtom and the tamtam, along with the virpal, verpal and vurpal swords. But no sight of the vorpal sword. There are five t?mt?m trees, three walls, and thirteen clearings ...

Finished!
In part 3 the main puzzle is mapping out the maze, it is then a question of guessing the right verbs for the sword and the t?mt?ms.
Part 4 has many occurrences of sudden death, so save often.

I also played it again from part 2 onwards but without collecting the cork or taking the route ...

For the time being, I've toyed around with part 3 a bit. I've tried to map the initial area, but it is tricky since I (currently), like you, only have the lupins. I've found the sword and tried following the vole around, but it seems to walk back and forth a lot so I'm not sure what the use is ...

I've made it to part 3, the strange thing is that neither the sphere nor the cork seem to matter, perhaps they are red herrings. Or in the case of the sphere, maybe you aren't supposed to be able to move directly from "Off north coast of (brown) island" to "Off coast of black island" but a bug ...
