Re: Cell of the Ridges zx spectrum

The author's solution is included in the Leotrope part 2 solution in that zip file.

It's been about thirty years since I played Graham's games, so I can't remember a thing about it.

Re: leotrope

Here's a temporary .TAP version... I've had to remove the graphics from the title page in order to rebuild the database...

I was hoping to extract the ones from part 1 and drop them into the corrupted section of part 2... but there seems to be something odd ...

Re: Starcrash - ZX Spectrum

You'll need a version of SC_Speclone with the Spectrum ROM loaded into it. It's something that I will look at when I have a little bit of free time. I did have a quick look earlier (to verify the presence of the Leotrope snapshot on the disk) but I don't have a suitable image of SC_Speclone ...

Re: leotrope

As discussed in another thread...

Here is a snapshot of Leotrope part 2 that has been extracted from issue 5 of the Sam Coupe diskzine, Enceladus issue 5. (The diskzine was produced by the author of the game)

There does seem to be some slight oddities in the ...

New Game from Jim MacBrayne

Amiga owners will probably remember Jim MacBrayne as the author of games like The Golden Fleece and The Mission. He talks about his Amiga text adventures here, as well as the recent PC ports he's produced... and his BRAND NEW game for 2020... http://8bitag.com/info/jim-maybrayne.html

Re: Starcrash - ZX Spectrum

Unfortunately this is not uncommon. Several years ago we played a spectrum game called Leotrope here on the forum and as far as I know there stil hasn t been found a copy containing the second part.

Yes, Leotrope was definitely two parts as I played it back in the day and was indirectly involved ...

Re: Starcrash - ZX Spectrum

Although there should be two parts to the game; one on each side of the tape, as shown in the review...
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/mag.php ... 65&page=41

...only one side/part is preserved.

I'll flag it up as being an issue on the ZXDB.

Re: Planet of Death

wow. blast from the past.
yes when I wrote this thread in 2012 I had 3+ versions for C64. I could have sworn but did not check that the blue/white was not quill/paw. it just played so badly, also it was so condensed that it really didnt need to be if it was quill/paw. anyway.

I did this image a ...

Re: The Orion Quest c64

Appreciated, this is useful to know. For the record, the D64 file hosted on 8bitfiles seems to be in good condition - at least, it shows the recorder, and it is possible to take it.

What is the filename of the file you got from 8bitfiles? The one I've downloaded doesn't show the recorder in the ...

Re: The Orion Quest c64

I've added a warning to the "Notes", please check it to see if I have got it right.

Looks good to me. Well done for sorting out that problematic entry, I'm sure that'll help some of the people that have obviously got frustrated with the game in the recent past (such as the guy who made the ...
