Re: Secret agent BBC

I wrote a fixed file which makes it possible to solve the game, but I'm not very familiar with the BBC computer. Anyone who can tell me how to unlock a locked file so I can replace it with the fixed version?

I finished and uploaded the map and walkthrough.

Re: Secret agent BBC

I finished the game, but the original version has two bugs which makes it impossible to finish the game:

-You can't enter the building. I suppose you should be able to open it with the key, but this has been forgotten to program in the game (you can only go in when aa%=1 and this never happens ...

Re: Secret agent BBC

I've made a map of the beginning of the game (the total game has 158 locations. I'll finish it one of these days when I have more time). As you can see you missed the locations inside the building (to obtain the manual). You have to use the submarine to reach the beach. From there you have still a ...

Secret agent BBC

I'm completely stuck what to do! I suspect there might be a bug in the "EXAMINE" routine because often there's no details or the parser doesn't understand. Have uploaded a map showing what I've explored so far.

The use of the command EXAMINE is very sparse in this game. you can use it only at 4 ...

Re: The Darkness of Raven Wood - Released

Congratulations on finishing the game! :thumb: I'll check out the final version. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to play a retro style adventure.
Good luck on programming the Hobbit (and hopefully after Foggy some more text adventures :) ). I'm very curious to see what you'll make of it.

Re: Dorothy Millard

Thank you very much for indicating where to find a copy of Dorothy’s website. I thought it was lost.

Dorothy was a very friendly person. I came into contact with her for the first time in 1995. We were both subscribed to Adventure Probe magazine. She wrote me a letter because she wanted information ...

Re: Adventure Challenge

I guess everybody stopped playing this quiz so I'll just tell the solution:

-The first picture of the first clue shows the value of Maggie.
-The second clue is Heinz Ketchup. If you would search Heinz in the database you'll find only two games made by that company.
-If you take the trouble to look ...

Re: Adventure Challenge

good guess, but alas not the right one.

However you did get the meaning of the coordinates right which narrows it down to only 935 games :).
Some small hints:
-The first clue is the title. The third picture I think is the most difficult to guess. To understand the first one you should look for the ...

for the ones who still don't get it  , I guess the 1973 single release by Roger Daltrey summarises the above hint.

Yes :) At first it seemed difficult until I understood the first picture.

I'm quite busy at the moment, but I'll try to upload a new challenge by the end of this week.

Re: Adventure Challenge

I knew neither film nor album so no chance I was going to guess this one :)

Neither did I, but as I told you before there does exist something like picture search on the internet. It's very easy to use so I think you'll manage it if you only make the effort

Here you'll find an instruction ...
