Re: New English version A Pokal Angyala (Angel of the Hell)

I've just uploaded the fixed English version of the game. I did some playtesting and it seems to be without errors. I've included an info file on the disc with some explanation on how to play the game.

Re: New English version A Pokal Angyala (Angel of the Hell)

Thanks, I thought it would be something like a joke or an expression. The game contains several of them.

I've now finished the translation. Thanks to this new translation yesterday I finally managed to complete the game without bugs. I have done several translations but this was my first Hungarian ...

Re: New English version A Pokal Angyala (Angel of the Hell)

I almost finished the game. There is one phrase I don't understand.

Somewhere in the game you encounter a hobgoblin. When you show him a lizard you get the following message:

"MEGLAZÍTJA AZ ÖVÉT , S ELÖVESZI AZ ÖVÉT!"

Robert, can you tell me what this means?

I tried to translate it and I ...

Re: New English version A Pokal Angyala (Angel of the Hell)

Hi Robert,

At the moment I've finished translating 29 of the 36 rooms. I hope to end it soon. However some texts of the remaining rooms keep me puzzled because they are a bit difficult to understand, but I'll try.

I try to stick as close as possible to the original text (the translation on ...

New English version A Pokal Angyala (Angel of the Hell)

A while ago I started playing the English version of the Hungarian game Pokol Angyala, A for the c64. Unfortunately I soon discovered it was full of bugs (for instance the game crashed on taking some vital objects), blurred pictures and errors in the translations which made some puzzles illogical ...

Re: Battune - City - PC

Sorry for the delay, but I lost my solution and today I finally recovered it. I've uploaded a map and some hints on how to solve the last part of this game. It was very difficult to reach the end because of the time limit and the random elements.

Damsels in distress 1 & 2 mix-up

Today I searched for a game in the database without a solution and noticed that there was no solution for Damsels in distress part 2. I started playing the game but when I gave a look at the solution from Damsels in distress 1, written by Dorothy, I noticed this wasn't a solution to part 1, but it ...

Re: Battune - City - PC

I think I finally found a solution where the amount of turns taken from the moment I pass the troll untill I eat the fish are less than 75 :) . I will try it one of these days when I've some time (probably sunday). This one is really very hard to solve because of the time limit.

Re: Battune - City - PC

I rearranged the order of the commands, but alas I still need 82 commands until I can eat the fish :( . The total walkthrough now takes 159 turns.

Re: Battune - City - PC

I wrote down a complete walktrough, ignoring the dying of starvation, to see how many turns it takes to finish the game. The total walktrough takes 157 turns . From the moment I pass the troll until I’m able to eat the fish are 117 turns!!. Somehow I have to reduce this to 75 turns to be able to ...

Re: Battune - City - PC

I finally had some time to play again. You get hungry the moment you enter the location with the grapes. From there if you don't eat the fish within 75 turns you will die from starvation (the grapes won't help you from being hungry). 75 turns is very little time to solve all the puzzles you have to ...

Re: Battune - City - PC

I ate four fishes but still get the message "I'm to hungry to lift the rope" when I want to take the safety net.

Yes, you also need the stick for that. I cooked the fish and ate it, but I still get the message I'm to hungry to get the net. I noticed you can get a fish more than once, but it's too late now. I'll try again tomorrow.
