Re: aftermath (rich masek) atari game

I got a bit further down the hill, but I still have to find more ways in slowing down Kreb. The first time is as you described pushing the junk. There are two routes from the south of the dump to the north of the dump. You can either take the west or east route and in the middle of them you are able ...

Re: vz200 Dracula's castle

if only to preserve the little bit of coverage the archive has on the VZ200/300 platform.

Don't worry about that. I'll be adding more vz200 adventures in the near future. I have got several more but I always first want to play them once to see if they are real adventures. I've a lot of adventure ...

vz200 Dracula's castle

The following game in the database isn't a text adventure:

http://solutionarchive.com/game/id%2C4631/Dracula%27s+Castle.html

You have to walk around through a random maze inside a castle collecting silver stakes and fighting monsters until you find Dracula and kill him. When you encounter a ...

Re: revision MSX games

And on the CPC Power website, I've just found a second source: an advertisement for the Micro Programmes 5 publisher which does say the game Dernier Métro is for "AMSTRAD, MSX, ORIC"!

:thumb: question solved then ! I've added the MSX platform again to the game and I will add the game to my list ...

Re: revision MSX games

I thought it had been published on the MSX because of a short review in the July/August 1985 issue of the French magazine Tilt.

I just found a similar review from the same magazine in number 28 of february 1986:

http://www.cpc-power.com/images/tests/2979_1.jpg

It's strange they mention the MSX ...

Re: revision MSX games

I wonder whether some of these games are for some of the pre-MSX (or near MSX) computers, like the SC-3000 and the SVI-318? There seems to be a lot of confusion in the scene about MSX machines, probably as BlueMSX will run the near MSX computers.

Well, you're right BlueMSX can play games which ...

revision MSX games

I've been revising all the MSX games in the database and found some games listed which never have been published for the MSX:

Adventure Without a Name
Bomb Scare
Curse of Volcan, The
Hospital Adventure
Zauberschloss
Dernier Métro, Le

I guess there has been some misunderstanding when I send the ...

Below two entries are one and the same game. The original titel entry was abbrevated (I've changed it now) and because of that I overlooked it when I made the second entry.
Original entry:

This one has to be deleted:

Re: Search by "date when added to site"?

Talking about additions to the site, another thing which could be handy is the option to search games without an image. It would be a lot easier to upload screenshots for games without having to review them one by one to see if they have already a screenshot.

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

1- Is there anything to do at the room with the giant mushroom and the caterpillar?

According to the programm code this is the location where you should be able to obtain the piece of cake somehow. When you eat the piece of cake after drinking the potion you obtain your normal size again. I don ...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

regarding the number of locations do you count the locations where the description can change (e.g., the haystack/burnt out haystack location) as one or two locations?
as two locations because inside the gamecode they are also two different locations. Without these "double rooms" the game has 118 ...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

Just a fast update.

I finished my map but failed to reach 2 of the 123 locations. One being the river which doesn't seem very important because looking at the programm code it seems you drown when you enter it and the other being the lost property room. This is the location east of the room with ...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

I use version 0.130, and saving & loading is very easy. Just press Scroll Lock and you'll get a message saying "Mode: Partial Emulation UI: Enabled", then it's just a matter of Shift + F7 to save in any of 10 possible positions.

Thanks, I didn't know you have to press the scroll lock first. Now ...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

I never used MESS before. Is it possible to save your game? Pressing shift+F7 doesn't seem to work. I found that I couldn't save the state in the latest version so I went back to an earlier version (0.140). Even then, when 'starting up' the Einstein I have to run "Alice" and wait until the text ...
