Re: Text Adventure Literacy Jam 2025

There's a little over one month to go before submissions close for Text Adventure Literacy Jam 2025. We currently have 50 people joined and we've received the first entry. Woohoo! Is there anyone on here that has joined or plans on joining? It's a lot of fun.

Re: Text Adventure Literacy Jam 2025

One month until submissions open. That gives you three months to write your game. Don’t delay, as time tends to slip away when a comp deadline is imminent.

23 people have joined so far and total prizes are worth over US$400. More prize donors are welcome.

Re: Quest [Roger Chaffee]

The Commodore PET version was later published in Byte , vol. 4, no. 7, July 1979, pp. 176, 178–182, 184–186. This is the best known version out there and was the basis for most of the ports to other systems.

There's a version for the Atari 8-bit ported to Atari BASIC by Jim Steinbrecher from the ...

Text Adventure Literacy Jam 2025

I don't know how many text adventure authors are on here, though I suspect quite a few. If you're one of them, then you will be interested in this event. Come to think of it, if you're a text adventure player, you will also be interested in this event.

Text Adventure Literacy Jam 2025 has been ...

Re: New user registration is not acknowledged

This issue hasnt been fixed yet. I have another user with a gmail address that has tried to register, but hasn't heard anything. I'll send a PM with details, but surely this needs to be fixed. How many potential users haven't been registered?

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

I guess this also affects people with Gmail to receive a notification by mail when you send a private message.

Correct. I never have any trouble sending or receiving emails, except to and from CASA. I have sent emails and private messages (through the forum) and I'm sure they were never ...

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

This is great news. However, not all problems have been fixed. The email notifications reported in https://solutionarchive.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1818 still don't work. I checked my queue and a lot of submissions had been attended to, but I didn't receive any notifications, except for one in ...

Re: Scott Adams graphical adventures. S.A.G.A

SAGA stands for Scott Adams Graphic Adventure. You can see this in all the advertising and the Adventure International catalogues. It was even spelled out on the SAGA logo, which featured the words on an artist's palette.

I know that there were SAGA versions of adventures 1 to 6, 13 and the ...

Re: New user registration is not acknowledged

I got a little more info. He says that when he tries to log on, he gets a message saying "This account has not been activated", so it sounds like it needs an administrator to activate it. Remember that email notifications are not working, so he would not have received any email notifications.

I ...

New user registration is not acknowledged

I have someone complaining that:
I registered one months ago but it doesn't send the activation email and the admins don't reply when you contact them.

Is this normal? I know that the database is broken, game updates are on hold and email notifications don't work. Is this related? What do I tell ...
