Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

Juan, how far are you into this game? So far I have managed to find one treasure, and like you I have had no success with the cup. I have a few of questions which you may be able to answer.

First, apart from the dead end in the tunnel under the road and the northern most dungeon cell, is there ...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

I still don't understand why you had so much trouble making MESS work for Tatung Einstein emulation. It's not that difficult. And for this game it's even easier than for Island of Artuan, since the BASIC disk is not even required.
Once you have MESS up and running, then it's not too difficult to ...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

Good luck. I tried, even with Juan's help, and, in the end, I could not get it to work.

Have fun.

Yes, while it seems I have not been playing games recently, I am still alive and kicking. No one has asked about playing along a gamerecently, so I haven't been playing and posting.

I'll gladly ...

Re: Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

How do you emulate an Einstein?

I use MESS. You need to download the Tatung Einstein ROMS in a folder called ROMS in the main MESS directory. Then unpack the ROM file there. The games are put in a folder called EINSTEIN in the SOFTWARE directory. They need to be unpacked, not zipped. Let me know ...

Alice and the March Hare - Tatung Einstein

Anyone tried playing this one?:

I am stuck because of the ring. Where is it? I took a look inside the game with an editor and the only item I seem to be missing at this point of the game is the ring (I suspect that it's to be ...

Does it matter which order one does those things in?
The wraith can be killed the same way as the slug. Just type the magic word (ZIFRO)

Re: blue dragon - BBC game

I get the urn but the wizard gets me. How to avoid him?

Just play the silver flute. He will take the spell off of the princess.

Alternatively, I found the parchment, and cast the spell. But this gets to a dead end with the ladder. Many of these locations are only one-way.

So, which order do ...

Re: blue dragon - BBC game

The gem you get when you give the bag of gold from the casle to the dwarf which you can find in the location directly north on top of the beanstalk.

The first parchment is on the location right from the start. The other parchemnt you can find inside the caves below the well. When you take the ...

Re: blue dragon - BBC game

I just made it through the door. You need the gem to open it. Just type insert gem and the door opens. You enter the cave with the slug and the wraith.

Where is this gem?

To kill the slug you need the two magic words you encounter on the parchments and combine them to make a new one.

I have ...

Re: blue dragon - BBC game

A lot of things in this game are random. The knight is one thing. You'll encounter him in the location directly north of the start location. Just hang around untill he appears. Unfortunately a lot of other things also seem random like killing the witch and the orcs. One time I encountered a battle ...

Isn't this the knight who was enchanted by a witch and which gives you the very sharp sword as you break the spell?
I suppose so. Where and how did you find him?

Re: blue dragon - BBC game

I have played this game before, and became stuck too, but at a later stage than where you are: in the undergound tunnels where there is a wall with the outline of a door and a triangular slot on it. I could never figure out how was this used/activated. And apparently neither did the author of this ...

Re: Ebony Tower - BBC

I'm stuck.

I got the liquid. But then I don't know what to do. I can use the carpet at the canyon, but that takes me to the dragon. I have killed the lizard. That, I think, is closer to the end.

Haven't found the ale. So a nudge, please.

You probably have not found the secret door at that room ...

Forget it. It's a dead end.
