Re: crystal caverns

Doreen B wrote:This just leaves me with the globe problem - how to get whatever is inside it... Any tips here?
If you are referring to the globe in the room below where you store the treasures, I already pretty much gave the solution to that one in the first page of this thread.

Hmmm, definitely north of the north bank of the lava river - which I think I got to after prying the floorboard with the crowbar in the toolshed then moving north several times...

Ah, so that's what the crowbar is for! I was actually trying to pry the boarded door that's near that shed. :lol ...

I *think* I remember the maze entrance being north of the lava river.... So east end of switch room->w->n->n->n->

What exactly do you mean by "switch room"?

The lava river is found when you descend the fissure with the parachute, but there does not appear to be a way to go north.

Re: crystal caverns

Hi Juan

It seems I made a mistake in that my crystal goblet is NOT broken. I found mine from the room where the sapphire was in the stalactite, go N, E, E, is this the same as yours?

Doreen :?

Yes, it's the same one, and I just figured out what went wrong. You see, instead of going to that room ...

Re: crystal cavern

The goblet is a treasure I got 5 point when stored.

Did you do something to it? I just tried it again. My current score is 390 and dropping the broken crystal goblet does not give any points. In order to make extra-sure of this, I reloaded the game at the point when I first entered the caves and ...

Re: crystal caverns

Hi there,

Right I have just spent several hours on this C64 game.
I have managed to find and store 13 treasures.

Same here. I wonder what that broken crystal goblet is for. I thought I might have 14 treasures, but if you take it to the place where you store the treasures and drop it, it does not ...

I got the hard disk and the computer to work. It gave me a printout of a "maze map". The only problem is... where is this maze? I have found no such location yet.

As for the hard disk, I think there is a computer room at the end of a long or winding passage (which on my map was in the lower left hand corner..). Hope this helps.

OK, I have just found the computer room. It's in another room, not the one where the generator is. You need to unlock a steel door ...

This was one of my all time favorites. Lets see how good my memory is. I seem to recall using the crowbar in the quarry to move a boulder.

There's a big boulder in the quarry that can be moved, but you do not need the crowbar for that. This is the same place where you find the pickaxe.

As for ...

I have just figured out at least one use for the pickaxe.

I am still trying to figure out where the hard disk and crowbar are used.

I must have missed that one! Where did you find the parachute?
Really? It's just NE of your start location, so you can't miss it :)

OK, got it, and I already found out where it's used. Jumping off of that cliff at the top does not work, as you know. But there's a place down in the caves where it ...

Ok, I don't have as much time for experimenting as I'd like to, so could you please get me started here?
I have explored the mansion and discovered where I'm supposed to place the treasures. I've tried jumping off the chasm edge with my parachute, only to get killed.

I must have missed that one ...

Crystal Caverns

Has anyone around here played this adventure for the Commodore 64 and Apple II?

http://www.if-legends.org/~yois/vault.php?id=463

I'm a bit stuck.

What are you supposed to do with the hard disk? There's a generator for a computer down in the caves, but apparently no computer (there's a steel cage ...
