Hi Mark, I can't help so don't get your hopes up just yet :) Just wanted to say thanks for the many terrific maps you've made over the years. Maybe posting an incomplete version of a DKoK solution will get somebody on the right track? By the way, did you ever finish Curse of the Azure Bonds? I still...

The main site has moved

.... so now it resides right here with the forum at solutionarchive.com - hey, that's what that silly new logo is about ;)
The contents are pretty much the same but the site should look a tad better.

I just want to second Fredrik's opinion here. Technical problems aside, this was really a terrific way of playing adventure games - more fun than playing on your own. So go ahead and try it some time!

Zinc session on WEDNESDAY (23rd)

Hello everybody, I will be hosting a session on Zinc this Wednesday at 20.00 CET (that's Central European Time to you North Americans) To make a long story short, Zinc allows players to play an adventure game together over the internet while chatting and exchanging ideas. Should be fun! Zinc can be ...

That's why we should be playing the other game :)
Seriously, even if we decide to play YAGWAD, I trust that everybody has enough backbone to ignore any such solution and just play to the best of his/her ability

I suggest Wednesday 23 Feb at 20.00 CET (GMT + 1). The Dreamhold was written with newbies in mind - it tries to help the player as soon as he/she seems to need it. The Dreamhold is a nominee for several XYZZY Awards, among them Best Game, Best Writing and Best Story. Sounds like a excellent startin...

Feedback needed ;)

Hi everybody, the forum has been running for a bit now, and I thought it would be nice to know what you think of it. From the start, I've been fairly restrictive: people have to register, and I have forced (more or less) people to post on specific boards (Want to play, Classics, Modern etc.). My hop...

I'll be happy to host a session some time next week (evening, European time). Suggestions for a specific date and a game would be nice!

Hi Fredrik, I've never heard of Zinc before but it sounds like a terrific idea! This should be a must-try for the users of the site. I'll be happy to host a session but I don't have a fast upstream connection and can't see on the Zinc site what the requirements are like. I'll take a closer look and ...

For my money, VICE is a much more pleasant emulator and is far easier to use because everything is menu driven. But CCS has a few advantages :) As for Mindwheel, you should really try it. It looks a bit like some of the Infocom games, but the writing is very lyrical and truly amazing. The story is b...

Synapse games - your opinion

I was immensely fond of Mindwheel from Synapse Software and thought I'd give one of their other titles a go at some point when I could find the time. But the information I've located on Essex, Breakers and Brimstone was less than favorable. Has anyone here played any of those? If you haven't played ...

Hi Pippa, and welcome to the forum!
This is exactly the right place for such entries, and I'll amend the solution as soon as possible :D
