Anyone been playing this game or want to give it a try?

I have been playing this game for some time now but unfortunately got stuck. It is a three part adventure. In the first two parts you're surrounded by islands and have to collect 5 treasures before you are able to move on to the next part. In the last part you are on an Island and have to find some way to escape from it.

The first part I nearly solved. I found four of the treasures. But I don't know how to get the boat on the southern island without being killed by the fisherman. There also should be some small note I haven't been able to find yet. Do you have to use the bird with the iron ring in some way? Does the pool of vomit has some use?

Having found this game without undue difficulty, and managed to load and open it, I am game to play. You have no idea how happy this makes me. So far I am mapping, finding objects and trying to determine what I need where. Seems like a game I should be able to manage - objects and where to use them, and the order in which to get them. Slow and plodding, that's me.

You say you need 5 treasures. Since I don't know what is a treasure (presuming to keep) and what is an object (you give to someone), this may take some time.

You get 20% for having each treasure in your possesion. Unfortunately the game doesn't know the command SCORE but only shows your score when you QUIT the game or when you die (lots of ways to do this).

Actually there are three classes of objects:
-treasures
-objects to use for solving the game
-object which you can eat or drink to prevent dying of thirst or hunger.

So far I have two treasures, the chalice and the book.

I presume the monster you wake up is where you drop the treasures.

Stumbling blocks:

the gorgon, the dragon, entering the city, the coloured bird. the equine monster (though I got the hint, but cannot solve the last word). However, I lucked out, though, and found the boat and whatever potcheen is.

I got the bird with the ring.

I also found some water before, but I can't remember where that was.

The last word is also written in reverse but you also have to substract one from each letter (b=a, c=b and so on)


Yes, inside the cave you can find a message about this, but you don't have to drop them.


The water is in the room up from where you encounter the coloured bird


Potcheen, is a traditional Irish distilled, highly alcoholic beverage (60%-95%) [Got this from wikipedia I also didn't know this ]. Drink it and you'll understand the message you'll get. Talking about food and drinks, did you find the coconut or try the beetle? It took me some while before I knew how to get them.


-you don't need an object to pass the gorgon. Just don't wake her up.
-You need an object to kill the dragon which you can find on the south eastern island but you need to amend it before you can use it.
-Entering the city just appears to be a trap. I thought that maybe I had to return the bird to them being from someone I guess because of the ring on it's leg but they still kill me.

The fisherman say no strangers are allowed to get off with the boat. Tried to use the bird here somehow but didn't succeed. Also stil can't find the small note which should be somewhere.

Finally found out how to use the bird and found the note. The note tells you where to get St. Patrick's bell (the only treasure I haven't found yet). Problem is you have to use the boat from the harbour to get there.

Finally found a way how to get the boat and solved part 1!!. You've to use the boat without anyone noticing it.

Now trying to solve part 2!

Allready have the following problems:
-How to get the sword from the stone
-How to move the boat from the boathouse to cross the lava river with it.

And the cryptogram. I thought of "romance" which was close enough, I guess.

SE island? Must have missed that. Got island to the w, n, ne, but no se.

I got the hint about the chalice, after I had slogged through the mapping of the ocean. That's the hard way, right?

So you don't use the boat my the fishermen?

I think you've been there. It's the island where you found the rose. You'll find an object there which is useless against the dragon as it is. But if you modify it a bit it becomes deadly.



Yes, in this part of the game you can find routes through every maze inside the game written somewhere but then again it's more fun doing it yourself I guess .



Yes, you have to use it but you've to take it without asking the fisherman to prevent they notice you. Just remember how it is called to take something from someone without he or she notes this and without having the owners permission.

Yes, I had tried "fixing" the object I had found. So I got past the gorgon and the dragon.

It's one of those games where you have to die in order to know what to do.

Didn't find a coconut and what to do with the beetle.

I'm having some difficulty here. Running into dead ends.

That's an unusual spelling, I'm more familiar with poteen - the word that is, not the actual drink

It seems the original name in Gaelic is Poitín [ˈpˠotʲiːn], anglicised as Poteen or Potcheen. Who dares to say playing adventure games isn't educational

To find the coconut you have to climb the tree on the western island (the one with the caves). On top of the tree type PUSH LEAVES to encounter the coconut. You can either eat it or slice it with your knife to drink the milk.

You first have to SQUASH the beetle to be able to eat it (who could resist such a meal ). And if you think this is revolting, the only thing you can do with the pool of vomit is EAT VOMIT allthough it is useless.


If you follow the directions from the small note you should find the fifth and final treasure soon and you can pass the sea monster to part 2.

Still trying to get the sword from the rock, unfortunately I''ll have to go to work now. Will try again tonight.

Since I am long past the age (and the wrong gender too) to enjoy this type of humour, this is more than revolting.

I'm glad I did not run out of food.



Since I did not find the note, I slogged through this maze as well to the fifth treasure.

Found your solution, so that answers my question about the bird. I am sure I tried pull ring.

I'm sure I tried to get the liquids, but it told me I had nothing to put it in. Hence the casket.
