Drak

Well, I've made a bit of progress...

the plant will not eat you if you smell the right (wrong?) way.
Also, I've managed to tie up (BIND) Egor, though to what purpose I really don't know. Haven't found any use for the cap, either.

Hey presto,
I've made some more progress. Throw your newly found cap in the right spot and you'll progress (found out by pure luck).
Anyway, I've now reached a spot where the game crashes :(

i have made it so far...

cant figure out how to free the woman.. or wha to do next..

i smashed the window...

but if you open the coffin it crashes eh... if you drop the cross dracula appears...

i was poking around with the monitor in vice...
if you do an i 6d20 6d40.. you get the command list

"oppathcaeagasmwilitobieggobagofoopco"

op pa - open panel
th ca - throw cap
ea ga - eat garlic
sm wi - smash window
li to - light torch
bi eg - bind egor
go ba - go back
go fo - go forward
op co - open coffin...

no mention of get/drop commands tho....

guess if it crashes on open coffin.. its as good as it gets.. unless thats it, and it ends... ??

This feeble adventurer has joined your play. However, I seem to get nowhere, right at the beginning, in the dark passage with the torch.

I do believe I need a boost.

Aaah - you need the cursor keys to move.
So, how does one get the key from behind the locked door?

The key is simply there to allow you to GO BACK through the doorback you went through to get to the cap and key. Nothing else (I suspect)

Has anyone tried to do the actions in the order that df found? Assuming that one can get to those locations in that order. Does that help?

There isn't really a lot of choices as to what order one can do things in. By the way, df, I tried dropping the cross but Dracula didn't appear.

Anyway, I've contacted Gamebase64 to see if they can locate a better version. Anyway, knowing the other games of this type (African Safari, Sim Zala Bim) the end can't be far off.

Sorry for bumping this ancient thread, but I have a solution for the crash-problem

At $29CA there seems to be two values that've somewhat swapped places

Code: Select all

29CA: D0 00 4C 03 71 A9 10 8D
should be

Code: Select all

29CA: D0 03 4C 00 71 A9 10 8D
Now you can open the coffin, but remember to pick up the cross first.

Unfortunately, this does not solve anything. I've seen reference to a Bible. Anyone found that?
