Nice ambience and descriptors in this game. You play the part of a dead person who needs to solve problems before s/he can find? peace. Once on the astral plain, you can go in many directions. Once you follow some of them, there appears to be a dead end. This is an intriguing game, seemingly quite logical (try it Dave - it might even be a GAC game) and yes, I am stuck. I have a few objects, but am having difficulties at the rotten cupboard with the snake, what to do with the figure in the boat, how to get the sheep - even if I need to). Justice should get the scales, but I don't know how to get them. The sheep is dirty and probably should go down the well, but how? Although you have two objects that could provide light, how to light them?

Try it - like Mickey (from a TV commercial, who ate everything), you'll like it.

Try 'stealing' the sheep

The snake is an 'adder' have you got something which it could have.

The scales needing 'weighing' but first you need to give Edom a trumpet.

Have you tried to move the cupboard.

At this point, I don't have anything that the adder could have.

Yes, I thought I had tried to move the cupboard. I'll get back to you.

I have the sheep.

I have not found the trumpet to give to Edom.

I cannot move the cupboard (with the objects I have now).

it appears as if I have something missing.

Help, Doreen.

Terri,

I think the best thing for me is to advise in which directions you need to go in -

Firstly you need to go 'down' the first time you arrive on the plain.

When you arrive back at the plain go 'north' give sword to Lagana, the do the bit with the snake.

Then do the scales.
Then the sheep. You can put the sheep into the font.
Try killing Apollyon, and riding the goat.
Kill Lucifer and rescue the lamb.
Then its Chittim, and then the cupboard.
The the boat area.

See how you get on with that.

Sword? I don't have a sword? All there is when I do "down" is a rod.

Can you give me hints where, from whom, etc. do I get the sword?

Thanks

Get rod and open the gate with it.
examine/open coffin with rod, get the staff examine/read it - type 'life'
examine the shadow then give it the staff. You receive a sword - enter the passage and go south, stand in the pentagram.

That should get you started.

I've gotten as far as putting the sheep in the font, but I can't go up the stairway. I think I may need a verb here.

Obvious...duh...

I am having some trouble at the well. Riding the goat, I kill Lucifer, and the lamb follows me and I go east.

But the game seems to hang up? No prompt appears and whatever I type takes be back to the emulator screen (I am playing Caprice).

Is there something I must do at the well first to not get this happen, or does this version have a bug in it?

Yep it is a GAC adventure and it found another bug in my code (though nothing to help with 12 lost souls).

Unfortunately I made the mistake of looking at the source; so I'll drop hints if asked, but won't play through it. Though it seems that Doreen has done a lot of it already!

For all I know has finished it. Can you tell me what to do at the well. or returning from there after I dispatch lucifer and get the lamb.

At the well - examine well to see a bucket. Then 'draw water' then give it to the lamb.

But I can't do that. Whatver I type (after killing Lucifer and getting the lamb) doesn't work, as the screen does not yield a prompt.

And I can't "draw water" without the lamb. I can't lower the bucket, either.

Dave is this something you can determine what is wrong?

Or is the game available somewhere else, if I have a bugged version?

You don't need the lamb to draw water. If you do "DRAW WATER" or "LOWER BUCKET WELL" you should get some water.
