Interesting that you managed to finish by using the sword on the dragon. When I tried that, even though I was "healed" by the wizard and got the parchment, I didn't really get the curse taken off because I died a few moves after (before even getting to the warm and cozy cave).
Not quite sure why that happened to me and not to you. Maybe I just ran out of moves.
This wille be an interesting solution to write, Juan, with all these options and since we really don't know all the contingencies that are involved.

I already wrote the walkthrough, as straightforward as possible.
I also noticed that the Wizard doesn't really take off the curse (maybe it's a bug?) The solution to not die from the curse, then, is simply to not bother the Dwarf in the first place. He is not necessary at all to finish the game, since you have another entrance to the caves. He can be considered as one more of the red herrings or dead ends.
List of red herrings and dead ends in this game:
The skeleton
The Dwarf and apples
The net and the little red fishes
The East and West banks of the lake, and the dry well and palm tree
The bathroom
The brass door and key
