Yes, after he moved the boulder I just had him follow me and as soon as they met in the dungeon they proceeded to exterminate each other.

Any more luck with the wolf?
No, not so far. When I found the bow and arrow I said to myself "AHA!", but so far it's proven as useless as the axe for this purpose.
I've now found the tinderbox etc.
OK, now you can try to kill the wolf too.
What about the hobgoblin...?
Weapons seem to be useless against him. You need to tell him something, a certain word, for him to vanish...
I've got a 'stange stone' from Kobold but thats all.
I got it too, but so far no apparent use for it.

Do a bit of 'waiting' after throwing venison to wolf.

OK, will try.

Yes, that was the trick, to wait before attacking him. Wolf dead and his head given to the Kobold.

I have also found what the strange stone is used for.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that this first part of the adventure is complete now. I have finished it with exactly 50% score.

Now, how do we save the game and load it again in the second part? What emulator are you using? As stated before, I am using Spectaculator V.5.30. I don't remember ever trying this, as if it was a real Spectrum. Is there such a thing as "blank tapes" for Spectrum emulators?

Not quite sure which Spectactulator version I am using.

To save a game -

PRESS 'FILE' this brings up a box.

Type in the File name box what name you wish to give the saved part.

Then it's press any key and the cassette should start and save the game using a .tzx

You then need to 'load' part 2 and try to 'load' in your saved position.

I did have a bit of trouble here but eventually got it to work.

I too finished part 1 with 50%

Hope this helps.

Go to "Help", then to "About Spectaculator", it will tell you which version you have.

I'm afraid you lost me here. When I press "File" I get a menu, with several options (save, load, etc.) The "save" option here very likely won't work, since it saves in snapshot format.

OK, got it. It's a bit complicated, but it worked.

Thank goodness - I'm not very good at explaining these sort of routines.

How you doing Juan...

Have you managed to dispose of the snake yet? I get no help from the gods.

'EXAM ERIC' opened up the game for me.

I'm packing up now - will catch you another day...

And I thought I was making progress...

I was going to give some hints...but you probably already did these:

Don't chop the tree until you get the hints at the fountain.

Cross the bridge carefully first.

I will try and catch up.

No, I have not been able to deal with the snake yet (I tried killing the raven and giving it to the snake, but it keeps rejecting it.)

I haven't been able to get the key on the ledge either (I keep shooting arrows at it, but I never seem to hit it.)

The skeleton, Modgud, also wants a toll, viz. a cup of blood, which is very lilkely the goblet, but it seems empty. Where can you get blood in these here parts?

I have not as yet seen a skeleton - is it in another 'island location'

I shot the raven with the arrow - but never though of trying to feed it to the snake.

The key is also yet out of my reach, although you can 'stand/climb' onto the bench and the cage. Throwing or tie rope doesn't help here.

You need to be protected for the dragon and have the 'King of all weapons' to deal with him.

Have you tried to leave the 'hag' area in the boat. There is a sea monster which prevents you from leaving - or at least he is there if you let the hag conjour him up. Your thoughts on this?

I have dealt with the elf and have got the 'wheatcake'

No, it's in the same island as the witch, the snake, etc. You need the candle in order to be able to get into the dark caves (the entrance is in the witch's room.)

You can kill him without using arrows. But keep a saved game without killing him, because maybe he's useful alive. I was thinking that maybe he can get to the key, since he can fly.

Yes, I stood on both too, but it didn't seem to make any difference. I also tried tying the rope to the arrow, but nothing has worked so far.

Where is this dragon? I haven't found this yet.

If you summon the Gods for advice on this, they say something about such monsters dancing "to your tune", so maybe the flute has something to do with this.
I have dealt with the elf and have got the 'wheatcake'
Did you deal with him peacefully or violently?

By the way, did you get the gauntlets from the troll? I couldn't find this item, but the clues at the fountain seem to suggest that he's got them.

The dragon is to be found on another island from the 'gull area' on the sea go - N, N, W (to rough sea) W, (to cold seas) N, N, NW, N (to icy shore)

Oooooo dash - I don't have the ....candle back to end of part 1....

I've tried all those ideas with the raven it just cocks his head and squawks.

I did't see the troll - I was very good and gave the elf the gold piece to get the wheatcake.
