I have tried several ways and can't get the right sequence, which airport first, getting the gun, etc.

I get the suspicious lady, but then I don't have the gun.

Another way, and I don't get the card.

Sometimes I can't get the bus.

Finally got the signed requisition, but need the gun to get to the right airport.

Good grief. Maybe tomorrow I can start again.

the briefcase is not needed till the end really so dont pick it up it just makes more to carry....try to carry as little as possible..drop lighter for example
the bus i think is always there to catch...
go by bus first with gun...scare lady get key..get card from agent...use signed requisition for screwdriver...
drop key in laser room...also drop card there
go by taxi to airport...pick up gun youll need it to get past men on second run in taxi..
REMOVE GRATING...enter get key..drop screwdriver.. then leave key in laser room
go back to airport by taxi...leave gun..take flight get grenade and key on plane..get key and mirror in hotel..get back to laser room and drop everything...get briefcase..examine keys for numbers..get sequence off cards..go to reactor room with keys and briefcase...end of

**edit** the game can be finished without briefcase it is just a little added something at the end

i think this is correct..please dont beat me up if i am wrong i need help on pt2 already lol

I found the following quote posted on this website http://www.beebgames.com/games.php?company=202 'The Secret Sam text adventures are cheerily described collectively by Mike G as "bloody awful", the first part as "ropey, and tenuous and unpredictable" and the second as "totally incomprehensible"! More use of common sense rather than his and Mike W's own logic, he concedes, may have served these games better.'

oh dear looks like part2 is going to be worse....I'm stuck already

Move to the second page and you get:
Secret Sam 1
A rather poor adventure game, all you have to do is move around and pick up objects, there is absolutely no descriptions whatsoever, and you can die without warning at any time. Definitly not worth playing from the archive - let alone actually having the misfortune to buy it!

Secret Sam 2
Exactly the same as Sam Mission 1 but with different locations and objects - don't play it.
Testing a website seems preferable to this...

I'm going to finish Secret Sam pt2 if it kills me ... It only took 25 years for the first part...
The phone box trick with the traffic light can be used a second time to enter a larger area with loads to be getting on with :D

I am following along in the solution. I have the keys and the numbers. But I don't know what to do now and how and where to use the numbers.

You said - get sequence off cards - .

I have the chip and the card and don't know how to use them.

How to fix the microscope?

Are the card and chip needed here or elsewhere?

Can you help me out here?

Part 2 is interesting as well.

The key only works a limited number of times before it breaks.

Lots of objects. Do you think any might be red herrings?

Lots of places to get stuck:

What to do with the agent? Kill him or not?

What to do at the sleeping man?

Are you supposed to fix the computer?

Aaargh!
Have you found a way to open the stuck desk drawer? Using the credit-card doesn't work.

What's the spider good for?

Is the newspaper useful? And the bottle? And the film and the rope?

there is so much things to figure out here...I have been busy working so I havent drawn a map but I think I will have to, and spend a couple of hours on it later on today.
I managed to pick up the battery that lies on the road.. you have to WAIT then you can pick it up..Not sure what good it is...
Looks like we are both around the same place. i think like pt1 it will be figuring out the verbs to use...anyway I think I will have about 15 minutes or so on it before I go to bed

wow..no idea what to do with any of the stuff yet... FLUSH TOILET though and another 'maybe' useful object is revealed.....what to do with it though???
Also with all the doors that need unlocked there must be another key somewhere. Pt1 and pt2 have no save facility, so it would have to be back to the beginning to try again, every time you got stuck...what a nightmare..I remember having to go back to the start all the time with part1. Thank god for the 'load state' on the emulator :thumb:

I too thought of there needing to be another key.

Thanks for the tip about the battery. I wondered whether it is for the torch (which goes out soon if you don't swith it off).

When you try to examine the agent, he shoots you, so I suppose he is a "bad guy".

The sleeping guy sounds promising.

The torch is needed and so is the box, so even limiting one's use of the key isn't enough.

Going back to the beginning each time, is not my idea of a good time either.

Far too many possible pathways here.

Also, can you give me a touch more "specific" hints so I can finish part 1. My question is imbedded in one of my previous posts.

It may be best to put Pt 2 in a completely separate post/topic area.

sam1. I think that the best way is to CATCH BUS when you first reach nelsons column. That way you have the gun when seeing the suspicious check in lady...USE GUN then get KEY1..get CARD from agent..GIVE REQUISITION (which you got signed by man you got it from (SIGNATURE REQUISITION)) and take the SCREWDRIVER.. that is the bus part complete..get back to the microscope room and drop KEY1 and CARD...

i am very nearly finished writing the full solution out so will post it here in the next half hour or so

sam2...its going to be tough..it looks like we are both exactly at the same stage...confused lol

OK - I will try that for Sam1.

I have made progress and here are some hints for Sam2.

Above ground:

You have already figured out the phone-box thing. You will need the newspaper, bottle, box, spider (not really the battery if you conserve) before you fall down.

You can drop the torch once you are "upstairs".

When the key breaks in the lock, you can use the credit-card to open doors, and eventually you will find another key.

The gun is needed, but not the knife. It's used in the room where you can get out (along with something else). However, the other things where you find the knife are needed.

Don't kill the agent. He does not actually give you anything (after you drop something) and, gives you are very (bad) hint about what to do next.

If you are not a cigar smoker this is an absolutely useless piece of information.

Let me know if and where you are stuck.
