Re: Platform distinction
I have nothing to add to this discussion, except the (often relevant) principle, i. e KISS - keep it simple, stupid. There are people like me somewhere who may access this site. No apersions cast on information contributed so far. Just a warning that there may be newbies or neophytes or dummies out there. You need to make the site/links navigable by all.

Re: Platform distinction
Fair enough. But since the available information will be the same for everybody, we'd lose a lot of valuable information if we had to make sure that everybody would understand everything. For some people, it might be confusing that there are several Atari or Commodore platforms. If we were to streamline that info, the more advanced users would be frustrated.terri wrote:Just a warning that there may be newbies or neophytes or dummies out there. A short note somewhere on the page that e.g. the VICE emulator can be used for any Commodore platform will do the trick just fine, I think. Same goes for other platforms, I guess (but don't know, since I'm pretty limited to C64 games myselfGunness wrote:For some people, it might be confusing that there are several Atari or Commodore platforms. Argh! Well, I guess we could skip the platform info altogether and just link to MESSMark wrote:A short note somewhere on the page that e.g. the VICE emulator can be used for any Commodore platform will do the trick just fine, I think.
